I love this. Yes! My house too. I have three young children. Cleaning everyday is like shoveling snow while it’s still snowing. I love any cleaning hacks or weekly/daily and monthly routines to help me out. I’m not able to get to actual cleaning ( like mopping or dusting and even cleaning the whole fridge) much because of all the daily messes that need attending. It’s just too much. Any quick hacks are a life savor!!! Thank you.

As we don't have a dishwasher, we've learned to rinse our dishes immediately after using, stacking them next to the sink, and soaking our pots and pans to make for a faster clean up later.

Same - not sure if this will work for you as an option, but sometimes I wipe the pans/pots with a paper towel (goes right into the greenbin), then I place it I the bottom of the sink and wash the dishes over the harder to clean pan - that way, all the hot soap water runs all over it. Even if it doesn't do much, it makes me feel better, at any rate haha

If I’ve got greasy or fat filled pans, I first scrape out the excess fat into the bin. Then I wipe some dish soap* into the the pans, and plonk wet paper towels on top so that the dish soap doesn’t dry out and it continues working on the dirty greasy surface. It seems to work better than just soaking greasy pans in soapy water, and I can use the used paper towels afterwards to remove the loosened dirt/fat. * If it is really bad, I add either corn starch (corn flour) or bicarbonate of soda to the dish soap.

I love the posts/columns in your house. I think those add so much character to an indoor space. The vinegar/lemon peel microwave hack is great for the aroma and to get the smells out of a bad microwave, but heck, if you don't have that, plain water works like a charm too.

Throw that sponge in the dishwasher too! For less waste just keep a cleaning solution and some water in the bottom of your brush holder. It’s always ready to swish your toilet. I follow Fly Lady.

I've seen quite a few videos with tips of how to keep your house clean. This one is really different though bc I really think that every single tip you shared truly is practical and super easy. A lot of the time, people share tips that just aren't simple enough. And when you have a little one at home, the simpler the better! As you said 😄👍

My cleaning hack/tip. We are a family of 7. 18 months though Me (age is not important). In our garage where the washing machine is I bought a plastic shelving system (4 shelves) at Home Depot and put 8 dollar tree laundry baskets on them. Each basket is assigned an item. Lights, darks, bath towels, gross towels (kitchen and cleaning) misc bedding, teen daughter (she does her own laundry). This system makes it so easy for me to just throw in a load when the basket is getting full.

I always use my daughters wash cloth to wipe down the sides of the tub once we are done with it during the bath. So I bathe her, then get it wet one last time, just wipe down the top of the sides of the tub, where most of the dust builds up, and then throw the washcloth in the laundry after. I only deep clean everything about once a month but the tub never really looks like it needs cleaned!

I once saw someone say to never set something down if you can get to the place to put it away In 10 steps or less. I was shocked how many places in my home were a mere 10 steps away and that made putting them away seem much easier.

Kallie, I love these. I am older, my kids grown and gone but these things go on for a lifetime! I love the shoes! I hate doing my floor and then feeling like I’m walking through everything I’ve just done. With those you would have a beautiful floor. I also have the remote control vacuum and they are the bomb! It is a great way to just keep control of all the stuff and it’s even better when you have kids. Thank you so much for sharing. I am very grateful for everything you passed on!

Good video. I like the foot dusters. I always take something with me when I leave a room, just makes sense to me. Also my Mom drilled that in me from a young age. But one thing I never do and never allow anyone else to do is walk in the house with shoes. All the gross stuff found on the ground, I certainly don't want on my floors and furniture. Even my dogs paws are wiped clean upon entering the foyer. I have everything needed to wipe his paws in the entrance I keep a moist cloth in a ziploc bag that I change everyday.

Head & Shoulders dandruff shampoo works wonders on soap scum. I buy the cheap off brand type (it has to be just regular dandruff shampoo, not the two in one type) and I keep that in my shower and squirt a little bit on a clean rag and wipe down my shower while my conditioner is sitting in my hair. I have a hose attachment on my showerhead, so I can rinse the conditioner out of my hair I take the hose down and rinse all the shampoo off the walls. This way my shower gets clean, and I’m not using cleaning products that I don’t want getting on my skin.

Sorry pressed the wrong button. My Swiffer wet jet has been a life saver since you use it to mop the floors and then throw the soiled pad away. The pads can get expensive however. Tracey No Matter What it works great. I have so many because of their once a summer $1 sale that I wear a pair for about two weeks, trade it out. Collect enough and then throw them in the top rack. If they get too grungy, a toothbrush and some dawn works. Rule is to never set the washer to dry. The thong will pop out. Happened to me while driving. So much fun. Shouldn’t wear them while driving anyway 🙄
