The black light hack is great. This also works if you have kids who don't always wash their hands well enough, and flip the light switch in the bathroom when they leave. With the light off, shine the black light on the switch, door handle, sink or any other surface. Just a bonus, you can use it to find pee stains from your pets as well. If you smell animal urine, but can't quite find it, try this. At night, shut all your lights off and begin at one end of the house and shine the black light on every surface. Corners of closets, under the bed, or along the baseboards are especially prone.

The cotton rope (like they use for perms and pedicures) works awesome for grout. I moved into a place and the shower had mildew all over. You dip the rope into the bleach -don't wring it out, and place it in the cracks. Leave it overnight. Literally toss the cotton and rinse! Best hack ever!!! This was a normal plastic type shower stall. No grout and no fancy materials.

Tip: before putting the paper towel soaked in bleach, on the molding strip, soak a paper towel with any type of vinegar, for 4 hours. I use apple cider vinegar. Mold is a fungus, and vinegar is a fungicide. Bleach only whitens the black, or any colored mold, where as the vinegar kills the mold.

No need to tuck the fitted sheet inside itself if you’re putting the set away....fold the fitted (the same way as shown) and flat sheets to the same size and place inside the pillow case and fold the pillowcase flap underneath. It also works to fold your flat sheet in a square and place in the middle as you complete the fitted sheet so they are folded together. You can then put that in to a pillow case and fold to how you like (small square or big). Typically I put one pillow case folded on top of the flat sheet that is folded inside the fitted sheet, fold, put in the 2nd pillow case and voila an entire bed change is neatly folded and all together. I have done some of the hacks you have in the past. One thing I would like to share is softener/water on spray bottle, you can spray them in your pillow case / cover sheet and let it dry for couple minutes before you lay your head and you will feel so clean going to bed, also if you iron your clothes use them to get the wrinkle out and it smells good afterward. Been doing this since I was 12, learned it from my Grandma.

Best tile and grout cleaner is the LA Awesome powder from Dollar Tree, Blue dawn, and hot water... it also takes crayon marks off walls.

With my sheets I fold everything inside out that way when you make your bed it's all you have to do is find the first corner and start, I also fold the fitted flat and pillow case all together and put in in the other one so the whole set don't get lost.

I like the way the tide, a dishwasher tabs, Mr. Clean and boiling water works great for my tile floors.

Thank you so much for testing these cleaning hacks for us! I love how you get right down to business and tell us what we need to know. Can’t wait for future posts. Very informative. I do have a question on the floor cleaner. The recipe that calls for fabulso, alcohol, and tide. Do you add water to that mixture and how much? It looked like quite a lot in your mop bucket. Thanks again for a great video!

Yes add hot water to the bucket & add in the rest of the ingredients. That’s how I clean my floors. You can also throw in a dishwashing pod.

Powdered Tide is different from the liquid but I would assume you can use it but very little. Like 1-2 teaspoons.

Another hack for your tile grout. Take a steamer that has one of those pen or needle tips (sorry not sure what the nozzle is called) but take that and apply it over your grout. Holy Cow it cleans it amazingly

To clean my grout i just use magic erasers. They work GREAT! Floors look brand new afterwards and it wont destroy your grout. Bonus: if u save all the old pieces from other jobs and if u wear dish washing gloves u can use those leftover pieces all the way down to a crumb. So theres no waste. Everytime i do this people walk in and ask if i got new flooring put in. Its awesome! & i hate cleaning.

I'd highly suggest not using a bleach cleaner on caulking or silicone like above the sink. Definitely don't let it sit. It'll break it down and you'll have to redo. Use baking soda or rubbing alcohol but don't let alcohol sit long either.

Yes!! She was saying grout but I believe she meant caulk.
@gracekelehar40143 жыл бұрын
Actually. She said it was for grout, but she didnt have any, so she was using the calk as an example.
@karebear93743 жыл бұрын
@@gracekelehar4014 maybe my comment will help those who don't know. I did construction work for 8 years. Most people don't know not to use bleach cleaners on caulk. Also white vinegar is better for the life of grout as well.

Would not recommend putting fabric softener on walls, it’s very oily and will leave a residue to attract more dust and grime

Just found this but to expand on the folded fitted sheet... Fold all but one pillow case with the sheet set and tuck into the fitted the folded ones while folding fitted sheet. Also the flat sheet if you have those. Put all of those in the remaining pillow case and fold. Then, when you change sheets everything is together and easy to take to your bed.

You are using the fabric softener to spot clean walls...could this be used to clean walls top to bottom? Maybe in a bucket of water? I usually do that with a new sponge mop from Dollar Tree.
