I never planned on being a homeschool mom, to be totally honest. And maybe it's selfish of me, but even when I became one, I didn't want to give up my career and business that I had worked so hard for.
But I had also fallen in love with homeschooling.
So how could I do both? Well, with a little bit of creativity and a whole lot of grace, that's how.

Thanks for sharing! One of my children CRAVES time with other kids, and so half the time we go out/organise playdates purely for him. They're still little though, so I'm sure a lot will change over the years.

As a private school administrator with years of classroom experience and a master’s degree in educational leadership I’m so interested in the behind the scenes of homeschooling. There are so many stereotypes you’ve dispelled in this video and I love hearing how your kids are thriving with their unique gifts and talents!

I loved this! I have been thinking about homeschooling for several years. My fiancé works in a trade and I have to have a masters to be licensed in what I currently do. I have a very similar perspective to you and I love the idea of having your kids develop those time management skills before you get to college, because honey that learning curve was steep.

I love your honest! Such a breath of fresh air. Another idea for books is your local library. You can check out e-books and audio books. It was great when our kids were in school.

Can't wait for part 2! We're considering homeschool as well not because private school isn't working for us but our kids have indicated that they'd prefer a later start to their day and honestly we're a family of night owls so the morning rush feels like a battle and most days start off on the wrong foot. Can't wait to hear more!

Jamie! I love you, but you just break my heart every time you say Mormon. You have done it twice now with Jenny Phillips and Ballerina Farm. As someone who attends The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints it’s literally a stab to my heart when you take Him out of the name of the church. It isn’t Mormonism. We don’t worship Mormon we worship Christ. He is the guiding force in my life. If you could please refer to the church by its correct name I would so appreciate it! Also maybe it’s good for you to know that Mormon is a nick name given to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by people who were murdering, raping, and driving this small band of Christians out of their homes. Again I love you and I feel pretty confident that you don’t mean any offense. However, as a self proclaimed person who loves words and their connotation thought you would care to know. Love Jesus and love that you love Him too. ❤️
