You just resolved my mustache frustration. I never thought of using a heated brush just on my mustache based on how I did not like the way the heated brush made the rest of my beard look. I have been using the heated brush just on my mustache for the past week and I no longer need to use a wax and it is styling the way I like it. It's these little things that change the experience on the beard journey that take frustration to enjoyment. Appreciate everything you do and the education & positivity you bring.

The Lazy Walrus Stache is my style too. As of a few months ago one side started settling differently than the other and below the lower lip a S pattern. The heated brush is preferred method. I wear my mustache pretty much like you describe. The handlebar and full walrus definitely don’t work for me, and I too can’t stand the feel of wax, or even balm in my mustache. The heated brush does seem like it would work, but I prefer a blow dryer to style my beard, and don’t feel like using them both. I just blow dry from the middle of the mustache, towards the side and use a boar bristle brush for a little tension and just kind of brush it down and to the side, blending it into the beard. Quick and easy, good enough for me, without the matted feel of the wax or balm. 👍

I didn't know it until now, but I do a lazy walrus too - minus any lip trimming. Mind you, I'm only 4-5 months in on the full beard so that (the trimming) may change. Every morning I blow dry each side of the moustache up and out (working from the middle) with my comb, and that's it. I've had a moustache for years and years (probably close to 25 years) but up until now it was just with a goatee - I have learned over that time that as long as my wife can see some of my top lip I can get away with not trimming it - so this style is great because you can still see the central part of the top lip.

I have been using a product some use for the competitions Got 2 b glued, not the spray, but the tube. It holds the hair out of my mouth and either holds up to the mask, or if it softens, I can reshape once the mask is off by wetting it again. Once the mask isn't an all day affair, I look forward to trying a stronger wax, hopefully by then the 'stache will be of epic proportions... lol

I use to try and style a handlebar but with the advent of masks in public, the masks push the stache into a walrus. So after a couple of months, I gave up. I haven't trimmed my stache (except for a couple of over achievers, once.) in two years and currently am between a walrus and a "lazy walrus". Lazy at the beginning of the day, to walrus at the end. I rock the lazy walrus. No choice, golden blonde mustache on top of a ginger beard. Invisible if grown alone, even if I grew a fumanchu

Now if I could just keep my mustache from getting in my mouth when I'm trying to sleep. It's so irritating some nights.
