Dude, don't you dare to question what you're doing here. Your channel brings me and hundreds of thousands of other people such a relief from the suffering and malevolence that is life, by re-awakening memories of simpler times, which were filled with nothing but joy and innocence. Being able to re-live those emotions as a grown man can mean nothing less than salvation for some of us. And that comes through what you do. So thank you, brother. Wholeheartedly.

in regards to your comment at the end of the video is anyone really ever the same over any span of time and if they are is that really a good thing? you have followers because you put out content that we find entertaining. in my opinion the content is secondary to person delivering it. case in point your secondary channels. I love (as do many others) lgr thrifts not because i like hunting for odd items but because your enthusiasm of what you find is entertaining. similar to your food channel. you are the reason people tune in. LGR, I agree with all the folks here who say you're the best when it comes to retro, and do not let anyone else allow you to think otherwise! I've been watching your channel for over three years, and no video has disappointed me. Words are insufficient to describe my gratefulness for all the content, and nostalgia you have provided. I am replaying the classic Doom on Dosbox right now because not only is it my first game I have ever played, but one that your videos have brought me back to, and of course all the classic DOS titles like Duke Nukem 3D, and the original sidescrollers. I'd love you to come to Retropalooza in Dallas one of these days; hope to see you in the future, and keep doing the greatest thing of all, and continue the hard work!!

I don't know what it is about your videos, but the style, the content, and the presentation keep me entertained, relaxed, and sane. Life is this crazy confusing thing, with questions that money, fame, and power can't even suppress. Time keeps on going, we keep on going until we can't, but it's always humbling to see old technology live on for generations to come. I know you're a big automotive fan, like myself, and I just resonate with your desire for historical preservation. It's nice to see where we came from, to remember a time we where once at, or perhaps try to experience a time we never even grew up in. Honestly Clint, you can do whatever you'd like. Do tech stuff or change gears all together. Hell, we all like watching you make food, so you can definitely change your direction if you'd like. Or even just quit all together if you'd like. Lol'd at the Microsoft Easy Ball box, the kid in the middle looks like he is contemplating his future in the picture or trying a Jedi mind trick of sorts. Might be worth doing a bit quicker videos on some items too see if they work or not kind of like a mini episode of LGR where you kind of go on the general surface of whatever item it is rather then in depth a whole bunch like with for example the early digital camera's & their history & competition or similar stuff. Perhaps the general feel if you haven't tried that easy ball or similar trackballs before for example & just trying too grasp what usage it has or would have at the time.

I’m a lurker here, been watching your videos for years now. Not much of a commenter in general. I wanted to join in the chorus of comments here saying how much I appreciate your content. I don’t want much on KZbin these days, but you are one of the channels I’ve watched faithfully for years. You have a genuine curiosity and interest about things, and that’s becoming increasingly rare. So much of our world is cynical, cold, and hard. It’s great to see a content creator that still has that joy about the simple things. Retro gadgets, building ludicrous XP machines, finding odd bits of lost tech. It’s such a wonderful break from the insanity of our upside down world. Now, I’m not a content creator. I even have a hard time calling myself a “creative”. But, I work as a copywriter/digital marker. Over the years, I’ve often wondered if what I do is good enough. I lay awake at night stressing if I’m delivering a quality product. It’s the curse of people who do creative things for a living. It’s like having a monkey on your back. It can be a real drag, but it’s also what gives you a creative drive. My apologies for the long-winded comment (I am a writer, so it comes with the territory.) Just know that almost every creator wonders about their efforts. I stress about my work every single day. Let it drive you, but don’t let it consume you. You’re doing good work here, and judging by the comments I think everyone else agrees as well. Stay true to yourself, and keep creating the content that you want to see. If you’re passionate about it, people will want to watch it. Just my 2 cents, anyway.

it is always good to look critically at what you are putting out but also your stuff is amazing. I lvoe the way you appreciate all of this. I learned so much just form watching you thrift or talk about old tech. It opened a new interst for me and i still use it now at school or whenever i am at thrif shops or markets! I watch your videos mainly for your knwoledge and your voice. it always makes my day a little better. we all change over time. It is oke to sit back a little bit and see what you are doing. But dont let selfdoubt be the better of you. be daring!

Regardless of whether or not I can define what it is you *do* with LGR, I, for one, enjoy and appreciate it. You deserve some kind of friggin' medal for singlehandedly turning Monday mornings into "Yay! An LGR thing!".

man.. I love you and the 8 bit guy and its funny to see the difference when you guys unbox things. you: "wow... that is just wonderful. awesome, thank you very much! I appreciate it!" 8bit guy: "meh.. stupid packaging.. duh, I already got this.... whatever....." :D no offense 8bit guy, I know how you are and I like you but its still funny.

lol I've noticed the same thing. Only EEVBlog does unboxing better, but LGR is in a close 2nd

well.. EEVBlog with his crocodile dundee knife and his tongue is the master of unboxing.
@matthewkriebel73426 жыл бұрын
Honestly, LGR's unboxing's are better than Dave's (Jones) these days. Dave just takes too long and doesn't, as he might say 'gild the lilly' with meaningful editing. (Edit to clarify that I'm taking about EEVblog. 8-bit guy is great despite his flat affect).

I think 8 bit guy just has too much junk and just doesnt want people to send him stuff, but they send him stuff anyway. I think he mentioned in a video that his attic is just stuffed with more things that he knows what to do with.

LGR is one of my GoTo channels. I'm not a gamer butIi love hearing LGR talk about and play old games. I love the old tech builds, the unboxing of old tech , the history of the tech. It's GREAT. DON"T CHANGE A THING.

Dude I just wanted to say just not to change. Your channel brings back some great memories for me. It always makes me remember my sister which isn’t here anymore which was the one that let me mess with her very first 486 pc. That got me into computers. I’m starting a modern build now and I get a lot of ideas from your builds too.
