Hey, creator of Ennui here! So, funny story about the Greed aspect: I forgot to add a limit to the amount of coins that pickups spawn, so that's why the rooms were filling up with coins. I had always kept my Miasma pretty low when testing (around 200-300) by swapping back to the base form, so I didn't think about how 5000+ Miasma could cause problems :p It's been fixed in the most recent version, but this still got a good chuckle out of me. Thanks so much for playing my mod!

Curious about this, what exactly is the bad part about Miasma? I don't really understand this mechanic, why would you switch back to the normal form to reduce miasma when most if not all characters benefit from it?

@@theabsoluteradiance It's more problematic on some characters than others. Lust becomes super slow and gets instakilled by any damage, Sloth loses all healing, speed, shot speed, and tear rate, Gluttony can't pick up items at all, Greed loses all drops from room rewards, etc. But, Greed kinda just coasts regardless, and Pride has no downside to staying as Pride forever. I'll have to mess with the effects a bit or add more downsides to encourage switching around a bit more.

@@sunysunu5109 Nah, what’s actually happening is even more silly Every 25 Miasma adds another coin to the payout when pickups drop coins. Mattman had something like 5527 Miasma, so *every pickup was spawning over 200 coins*

While it was never properly used by the catholic church as one of the deadly sins, there was "tristitia" which would be called despair in modern language. It was combined eith the greek concept of "acedia", or "lack of care" which early christians also saw as a sin (and despite never being an official deadly sin, was called ennui is common parlance). This gives us the modern sin of sloth.

For Envy, taking damage can result in any sort of random events, from reverse Temperance, to spawning trinkets, to even removing an item. Considering how it's risky to go a long time without switching, it'd be an interesting challenge to go an entire run as just one of the Sins.

The bajillion coin thing towards the end made me think of a funny synergy. Wouldn't dull razor, charged penny, piggy bank, swallowed penny (plus 9 volt to make dull razor only 1 charge instead of 2) just kinda do the same thing and get you infinite money as long as you dont get super unlucky? Maybe if habit also works with dull razor, you wouldn't even need charged penny if you already had 9 volt, or those items could even be interchangeable. i recently finished watching full metal alchemist for the 2nd time. showed it to a friend who had never seen it, it was really satisfying to hear him call it amazing also saw blue eye samurai, and my god was that great
