Because Corbyn is a massive danger to the arms industry, tax dodgers, bankers, the elites and Zionists. He can't be bought and they don't have anything they can blackmail him with. But it's mainly his support of Palestine. You can't be in power if you support Palestine in the UK. Everyone knows that.

Corbyn was the man for the poor such as myself, growing up in my late teens. He wanted to tax the rich and hold up the truest meaning of international law. James O Brien, like much of the media didn't like his rhetoric and so they smeared him consistently about antisemitism which btw, is rampant in every party.

Because he is a reminder of what they ARE and what they are NOT: *The truth & human morality* And the end of Arm sells to Israel & any country committing human rights violation that means financially affecting the war machine "businessman"! And he is unable to be brought & be a puppet unlike the majority of politicians. They fear that he might be Prime Minister where he would correct Britain's greatest sin against humanity by giving historic Palestine to the Palestinians, which is few main reason why so much hate is propagating against him and the endless smear campaign against Jeremy Corbyn. Because he promised to recognises the injustice committed against the people of Palestine and he is more than willing to give them recognition which the Zionists feared the most since the creation and recognition of Palestine will pressure or force Israel to give back and withdraw from from the occupied territories! Leading to 2 state solution & evidently Israel/ZIonists don't want that.

There is a very potent cultural myth that surrounds the hardship of elder generations; the generation that grew up in the 60s had parents who had either actually fought in the Second World War or suffered privation and hardship because of it, and also their grandparents had either actually fought in the First World War or suffered because of it. That leaves a powerful psychological mark, whereby "the older generation" always had it harder and therefore the younger generation are reaping the benefits of their sacrifice without having worked for it. As the Boomers and Gen X have slotted into the "Older Generation", they have adopted what they perceive to be the appropriate archetypes. That's my theory, anyway.

With regards to the whole national service thing... basically you can't create a sense of civic spirit, social pride by threat or force. And besides, what examples of such things has the Tory government provided in the last 14 yes? It's a cheap gimmick from a party desperately trying to retain seats. Sad!

Whats wrong with forced voulenteering is such a sheltered middleclass opinion. Some 18 year old have to work to live, and alot of jobs these days are unsocial hours. This point is always missed by all these peivlaged jourbalists, but this would mean taking money away from the working class

Labour ran out of money during the best economy the World has ever seen. They bang on about their growth during the 90s and early 2000s up to the recession and act like it was all on them. A monkey could have done well under those conditions. And they ran out of money. Do we REALLY, REALLY want Labour back in charge when they messed up big time under a booming global economy, when the global economy is suffering so much right now?

I support National Service for 18-20 year olds, who aren't in senior education, training, or essential lines of work. Young people in service would be exempt from fighting abroad. I'd enforce it through community peer pressure after winning the trust of the population as a responsible, competent government. I'd also pay higher benefits to those who completed National Service - incentive through reward rather than through force/punishment. However, I don't trust Tories to achieve this.
