I was ill last Christmas, and couldn't drive myself. My dad was determined to drive the 150 miles to collect me and 150 miles to take me home for a family Christmas. Then the rules changed and it couldn't happen. 'It'll be OK,' I told him, 'we'll have a family Christmas next year.' He died last month. I'll never have a family Christmas with him again. So like many other people, I will *never forgive* the people who laughed and partied last year, and are blue in the face with lying this year, for depriving me of my last Christmas with my dad, and humiliating me about it afterwards.

Sam the reason the people who JOB wants to reach aren't listening is very simple indeed; because he never listens to them or their concerns, they simply mirror his lack of interest and disdain. JOB will never know this as he blocks all opponents so no one can reach him other than those who already agree with his epic fact omission. Most intelligent opponents will not call his show, not out of fear he will 'expose their ignorance' lol, no, it's because there is no point calling-in as he always tries to launch schoolboy gotcha's and never enters into a grown-up civilized discussion. He thinks his public school boy tropes and fading-out of callers is wildly entertaining in the way only his sort would

Corbyn, in this regard, and in so many others ways, is very prescient and up to date, viz advocating the roll out and state support of broadband services. To be a competitive commercial industrial nation we must fully harness the power of the internet. It’s crazy that some communities in the South East for instances, don’t have reliable access to the internet relying as they do on private companies to provide this access which they will not do since it’s not profitable to do do. What a way to run the economy. Corbyn has vision, costed vision. Starmer IMO is a place man interested in the baubles of high office.

The upshot was that Allegra Stratton resigned - or was pushed. The only one who actually told the truth, as closely as she was allowed to. Her only failure? To do the job Johnson assigned to her, to lie in his defence. And because she failed to lie, failed to defend him, she resigned in tears, apologising profusely. The only one with any integrity whatsoever, she is the one who went. And all the others, the ones who organised and attended that party, who enjoyed that cheese and wine and gave each other presents, they're all still there, unaffected, unapologetic, and still lying to us.

I couldn't have the funerals I wanted for my mother in law and sister in law. Yet I would make all those sacrifices again, because I am morally a better person than members of my own government. I would do it again because I am a decent person and so is everyone else - except some of those in government it seems. And this hurts to realise. :(

@@dene39 find some organizations who vet candidates. Here we have some AMAZING nonprofits and companies who work 24/7 year round researching candidates and representatives and they make it way easier to find out who is on the ballot, what their policy plans/hopes are, their backgrounds, etc. I think y'all have a couple over there that I've stumbled upon on Twitter. Also if there are Maps you like and respect even if they aren't your MP see if they have endorsed candidates who could be yours or even reach out to their office and ask about it. Just some suggestions. I'm well aware that corruption is as rife in your government as it is in ours so I know it can feel hopeless but actionable things I can do have been helping me not just say "fk it all" and give up. When too many people do that we just end up where we are at and since we're already at it, the stakes are pretty high right now. Keep your head up 💙

The most frustrating thing about this is as someone who's been following the rules from the beginning and will continue to do so. Not because the government is telling me to, but because the consensus amongst the global medical community is saying it keeps other people safe. It's going to render everything myself and anyone else who sticks to rules does pointless. Because who's going to follow the rules now when those who make them also break them... and then laugh about it. These scumbags are so completely out of touch with the average person in this country its unbelievable. I don't even blame people for breaking the rules now, in fact I understand it.

How can you even trust the "Medical Community" when only the voices the government wants you to hear from the medical community are the ones saying the same thing? Can't trust anyone. Neither the lockdowns have worked, the "2 weeks to flatten the curve" has turned into soon to be 2 years and counting. And the whole "2 jabs to be fully vaccinated" is now being said "Get a booster every 5 months" Meanwhile, Pfiz e r has made over 35 BILLION dollars from all this and it has been shown how the FDA is now 60% funded by the same farma companies that they are approving medicine for. Its all lies and what is true is hidden. Like it or not, if we don't unite together to stop our leaders from taking away our freedoms while they laugh it up, we will be rolling up our sleeves for the rest of our lives and always be under control.

Well, this explains BoJo's "war on drugs" campaign: sheer distraction. He's only too happy to needlessly criminalise commoners if it helps him to deflect some heat. In fact, he's already used it in today's PMQs to try to shut down discussion of this sickening story, claiming the Tories are trying to get on with their war on drugs and accusing Starmer of "wanting to legalise Class A drugs." Just can't stop lying, can he?

Truly abhorrent, but what worries me is that if I'm reading it correctly, this government would like to put individual ministers in a position where they are capable of overriding decisions made by judges. So, no matter what wrong doing was done, and no matter what legal action was taken, a judge's decision to punish could be overturned by a minister. While we all share disgust at whatever happened on December 18th 2020, and probably other dates yet to be confirmed, we're being diverted from the real $h1t show looming.
