A criterion core would cost roughly the same, taper the barrel to keep the weight as far back as possible, and is chrome lined without sacrificing accuracy at all. Dunno how they do it, they're wizards or something. I'd recommend saving a little bit more, i got my 12.5 from ar15discounts for 200, showed me real quick that cold hammer forging doesn't mean much. Sweet handguard too, i went with smoke composites myself but i may give jag a go here soon

No, its a proprietary barrel nut.
