Great upgrade. I got the part before seeing the video as it was different from the first one I got which needed no part of the old knob to be removed. But I think there may be no need to first remove the black cover on top. The rim should pop right off without removing the top.

As for bits to add to the car, I like that led strip that’s tubular that fits round all the trim . Also the courtesy light/projector on the under side of the doors so the bmw logo lights up the floor ., these are plug and play too and £10 .

Done this today following the steps on the video and now the office controller doesn’t work when you rotate it or press it down only when you push it left or right to go back or forward, any idea as to how I can fix it? Everything looks as it did before I installed the new one but now even with the original on it still doesn’t work
