This is finally the channel I need. Been a technician for a few months and trying to figure out where to get started in getting a base station going. This kind of content is amazing for ideas.

I’m glad I found this! However, I do wish there was some footage of pushing up and securing the sections.

Always some limbs in the way of an antenna. Im adding a 40 m to my 20m wire Balun but i need to cut away a couple branches to make it easier to access and lower. I have the Balun on a pulley so i can lower it for maintenance or in this case addind the 40m wire!

Appreciate this. Trying to figure out a push up mast where I can attach an Ed Fong VHF/UHF dipole to begin with before experimenting more.

Anyone could have made this video at someone else's house without even buying the mast, without ever installing one, without ever connecting it. Where's the parts list? Where's the video of setting up the base? Is it in concrete? Where's the video of installing the cable? Can it be in the pipe and brought through a weather head? Looks like this cable is just dangling about. There's a lot to be desired of this video.

Could you please clarify what poles you purchased at the hardware store to make the antenna mast. Thank you 👍 very interesting video. Thanks for producing it. Regards 73

This is a nice set up. You could also put a small HF yagi on the push up mast if guyed, temporarily or semi-permanent, if you want to go HF or 6 meter activities. Very professional looking set up.

Thanks Scott. I've got a vertical fan dipole from DX Commander setup for my HF operations. It works really well. We have a couple of videos on it in our video library.

Thanks for the video. How is this install holding up?

Yeah I had the same problem you do. I had a jpole on top of my tower and could hear just fine but I couldn't keep the repeater open when I went to transmit. Had to purchase better coax lmr400 and a small Yagi beam pointed into the town my local ham clubs repeater is at. Im now able to hit and open the repeater no problem.

Is the repeater vertically polarized. Most are. Your antennas appear to be horizontally polarized. ? cross polarizing.

Yeah, several folks have asked about this as well. The photo tends to make the antenna look horizontal but it is actually vertical like the antenna for the repeater. :)

What kind of antennas can i put on this? I have a tv antenna, a cellfi go x antenna and a 4 yagi antenna for my internet and need an antenna about 30 to 40 feet that wont collapse or blow over. Thanks in advance
