Have you ever tried the porter Cable Restorer with a wire wheel?

Love that way of distress. What kind of white paint do you use. Water or oil base and does it matter for the distress. Thank you.

Does staining the table first sral the wood? Or does the polythurain do it
@steveharris57304 жыл бұрын
Before you applied the white paint, did the table have polyurethane on it?
@MJ-xk3zs5 жыл бұрын
Hi I What's just wandering if you just poly the top or the whole thing
@tshirtgirl19639 жыл бұрын
can you put a polyurethane over a chalk paint finish? I was thinking of refinishing my kitchen table (Pottary Barn) that is white pine. I want to be able to put a hot cup down or a cold cup and not have rings left in the paint. Which is exactly what is happening now - thus the reason i want to refinish the top. Any suggestions?

Does the polyurethane turn yellow?
@blindsidebank8 жыл бұрын
Ariztid I made a sign that had the white distress looks with paint and I put a coat of poly and turned yellow then wiped it off right away. I did some research online and they say to use a water base poly. shouldn't yellow. oil base almost always makes it yellow. hope it helps

Why dont you just paint the table instead of making it look like a poorly stripped table... i dont get why anyone would want a distressed look
