Christ has said whether by His own voice or by the voice of His servants, it is the same. Our simple job is to enjoy the blessings of following Jesus-HOW BLESSED are we to live in this incredible time when temples are being built at an unprecedented rate and more people than in all history have access to Christ's exalting power! I feel that power in my life as I strive to worship in the temple regularly. The spirit felt in the temple gives me NOTICEABLE strength against temptation, and greater desires to bless others with love and kindness.

I’m so thankful for your reference to Moses at Refedem (sp) this example was a story I heard long ago in reference to raising your hands in worship of God. Some things truly transcend our understanding. I know that when the Holy Ghost moves on me I am so compelled to raise my hands in song, even kneel before Him. I am not LDS (yet) but since my sons conversation and call to mission, I have studied the church I always believed to be a cult, I am learning I was misled in the past. So I ask, what would happen if I raised my hands in worship during a sacrament service in my local Stake? Would I be received? Sometimes I just can’t help myself when surrendering to Him🙏 Thank you Elder Rasband for this inspirational message and for speaking truth in Jesus name 🙏❤️ God bless You

You will feel the presence of Jesus Christ in our meetings like you have never felt anywhere else. Our meetings are conducted in a reverent manner, because the passing of the sacrament itself is in the name of Jesus Christ, which is sacred. It is His commandment, and His desire for us to take upon ourselves this sacred ordinance when we are worthy to do so. We must first be baptized, in the name of Jesus Christ, by the proper authority, and then all our sins will be washed away, and we can start anew, and take upon ourselves covenants we make with our Savior. We make sacred covenants with our Savior to take His name upon us, to uphold righteous acts and righteous doings, to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, and uphold His gospel and bear witness of Him, and of His divinity. In our meetings, we all feel a sense of peace and belonging in Christ’s church, and we feel God’s presence. God is reverent. Sacrament meeting as well as other meetings in our faith, are very reverent and peaceful. You might not feel the desire to jump up out of your seat and wave your hands in the air and shout for glory. But instead, have a new desire to worship God and Jesus Christ in quiet reverence. Listening to God speak to you in a still small voice. The way of worshipping that you describe, would give those who are pondering in reverence the words that are being spoken over the pulpit, a bit of a surprise. Everyone would be taken aback. The entire congregation, as well as those on the stand, would all look directly at you or turn their heads to see if you’re okay. But to answer your question, yes you would still be loved and accepted. Talk to your local missionaries. They will teach you a great deal, and answer all of your questions. ❤ May God bless you in your learning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Your son sounds so impressive. He must be a very upstanding individual. He is doing such a great work for our Savior. We commend you as a parent, and applaud you for your faith.

We could really use your unique talents and upbringing to help bring souls unto Jesus Christ on both sides of the veil of death! Since I decided to more fully come unto Christ by choosing to go to church again, and to be worthy for the temple, my life has been much more blessed than before! God bless you brother! -Nate

Personally, it would warm my heart to see that happen. I'm LDS and have sometimes been so moved by worship music in my car, for example, that I couldn't help but put my hands up, so I get what you're talking about. You'll find that the environment in an LDS sacrament meeting is more somber, as we consider all that the Lord has done for us, and our complete dependence on Him. So personally, I wouldn't want to distract others who are worshipping more inwardly by being the only person with hands in the air, but opening my hands low / pointing upward (in a "receiving" position), or forward / below the shoulders (in a praise position) is one way a person can express their heartfelt worship without distracting others from theirs.
