You know I've been streaming at least weekly for nearly a year now, and it took 6 months to get a regular crowd, and they are such good guys. Suppose my point is it takes ages to get the viewers in, I'm not quick, in fact that's one of my things, I'm consistently slow. It's amazing just how much work you have to put in too. Even just doing a good title and thumbnail takes a good amount of time, I just try to do something better, just one little bit of a stream, every time I do it. It soon builds into better content.

yeah race for you first and foremost. Once you're in a groove, only then stream. Don't do stuff just to impress the stream. That'll never work

Being a VR racer I haven't streamed for some time. Did it badly a while back and definitely agree with some of your points here! I may give it another go as I'm finding ways to make ACC a little less demanding. Frame drop in VR is no joke ;)

yeah VR streaming is something I don't know if i'll ever crack. I love driving in VR but streaming and being watched in VR sucks for everybody. VR is very isolating.

@@LaurenceDusoswa I've seen Jimmer doing more VR content of late and it's hard to watch. For my reviews I can move the cameras around so it's less intrusive but a tough nut to crack indeed

Thanks for the super informative video... I have been creating Iracing POV content for a few months now for KZbin and am trying to find a way to make it more interesting! Your video gave me some ideas on how to improve my content and hopefully improve viewership. :)
@LaurenceDusoswa2 жыл бұрын
awesome! I dropped you a sub. Have you considered streaming? Your setup is well suited to a live stream. If you're looking to get high numbers for minimal effort, try streaming on tik tok. You would do really well.
@rickswanracing31392 жыл бұрын
@@LaurenceDusoswa Thanks! I actually am planning to stream and have been looking at the community channels and specifically yours has been super helpful. The problem that I am trying to sort out is the camera angle.. I like having all three: the POV headcam, the Driver cam, and then some sort of iracing TV replay. I havent quite sorted the tech out. I currently run 2 GOpros and have a second computer I can use to stream, but I am seeing one GOpro is a little older and cant easily act as a webcam, the other one is newer but there is a latency problem. so need better ideas on the tech side to have a small enough cam that I can have on my head, a small cam on the front cage, then the Iracing TV broadcast. I think in a bind I can just omit the IRACING feed for the Live streaming. And thanks for the Sub! its much appreciated!

@@LaurenceDusoswa Found myself rewatching this today because i am going to give streaming a go. I am trying to figure out how to mount a 4th monitor on the sim as I have a cage and roof. Time for some creativity. Side note, just got off an MSC cruise and they had an f1 sim on it running AC. So much fun…
