Great presentation. I''m not sure if Le' Corbusier was aware... but I'm guessing he was! India already had a strong tradition in astronomy and mathmatic. As well as building complex astronmical instruments in stone... Such as the 'Jantar Mantar'; an astronmical observatory with 14 astronmical devices built in stone in the 18th Century not too far away in the 'Pink' city of Jaipur by Maharaja Jai Singh II... The 'Open Hand' gesture Le Corbusier also used at Chandigarh is used throughtout India....
