I randomly picked up this book when i was 17...it totally captivated me...

I studied this book in school as part of learning french. It had a profound effect on me and to this day I re-read it from time to time. Up there with Le Silence de la Mer which is another film so worth watching.

I've read the book a few times, and found this movie to be a pretty good adaptation. (The ending is altered, but still very effective.)
