A cool fun fact about the name of the 9X8 : France is divided into départements, and each one has a specific corresponding number. Le Mans is situated in la Sarthe (yes, as in Circuit de la Sarthe, where the race happens), which number is 72. And of course, 9x8 = 72, what a coincidence !

Going "0-500kmh in 20s" is meaningless in an Endurance race when the biggest factor to win is to conserve energy/fuel/tyre as much as possible while maintaining your pace lap after lap. Going that fast will just mean you're using more fuel and tyre. Using more fuel & tyre = you're going into the pits more often. Going into the pits more often = more time wasted by not being on the track. Not being on the track that much = you're losing precious time overall.

Great video ! I really like videos talking about hypercar and endurance racing in general. Even though the video is very good, there are a still a few mistakes. 2:35 : I think this is wrong because the engine used is a v6 twin-turbo that will feature the use of hybrid so v6 engine hp (about 600hp) + hybrid engine that control the front wheel axal (+ about 300hp). 7:47 : This car raced in LMP1 and is defintely not the vanwall precedently showed. 8:17 : 1000hp for 2094 pounds (=950 kg). I'm pretty sure this car cannot produce more than 500 or 600 hp max. 9:13 : Alpine will not return to the Hypercar class next year. They are however re-joining the category with an Lmdh car in the WEC in 2024. + You forgot to talk about Isotta Fraschini who want to start in the WEc at Spa with an LMH Again, your video is great and i like to see more content about endurance racing, but always try to give accurate information.

Personally I really like the new Ferrari 499P Hypercar. Compared to most of the other cars, which have this horrible shark fin down between the roof and the rear wing, which IMPO really spoilt the looks of the LMP1 cars and made them all look more like rectangle blocks or transit vans, the Ferrari one has a slight kink in it, which gives it a bit more style. It certainly looks a lot better, I like the design and it’ll be interesting to see how it goes. For me Toyota will start out as favourites due to their experience with their GR010. Either Porsche, Peugeot or the plucky American based teams Glickenhaus and Cadillac could be their closest rivals. I just hope they freeze the rules for at least a decade to make it more sustainable for the future. Plus I’m also intrigued to see how the new generation Nascar goes at Le Mans in 2023. If successful, this could be a great era of sportscar racing!🤞

@@DuranDuran31 I seriously doubt that. They will both run LMDh spec cars, and IMSA may run LMH cars at a later date, (probably only in the four big races), but that's about as combined as it will get.

Maximum power allowed for LMH and LMDh is 680 HP. Vanwall will not be running that kind of power. It's disallowed by regulation.

Ferrari had at least 1 or 2 top class LMP cars in the 90's. They get over looked often because it was during the era when GT1 became faster than LMP900

The 333sp was not a factory Ferrari effort. Basically the owner of MOMO got Dallara (and someone else later) to build some chassis, Ferrari threw in some detuned/ruggedized F1 engines and they sold them to people to race in IMSA and WEC. This will be the first time the actual Ferrari factory (as opposed to some other team fielding a car called a Ferrari) has raced at Le Mans at the top class since 1973

Not proprietary, they can choose from Dallara, Ligier, Oreca or Riley/Multimatic.
