The crossover
try-out from the recording sessions in 2003 what was supposed the last Notre Dame album, at least for that recorded label after butting heads for years and trying literally every trick in the book to terminate the unsatisfying record contract.
Everything from changing name to Vampirella & The Three Stooges to recording a 40 minutes extended cover version of Philip Glass´ notorius 'piece of music' called "Two Minutes Silence" which in reality is nothing more than,.. Yeah, you guessed it - silence!
Long story short ( You can read the detailed version in his highly acclaimed autobiography The Book Of Heavy Metal) In 2003 when nothing else seemed to work the frustrated Snowy told the label boss - Fine! You'll have a brand new album of original material on your desk in THREE MONTHS!!! and slammed the phone. Furiously he sat himself down to write a new album and what came out was good, really good as a matter of fact but the question was - Is this really Notre Dame music? No, not really. This was more in the vein of goth metal meets industry glam rock, for lack of a better word. After having recorded all instruments and vocals for more than half a dozen of songs he opted to put it all aside on the backburner as material for a future solo album and instead started over from a clean slate writing in a style more suitable for what coud be expected from the horror metal- shock rock act Notre Dame.
The Farewell & Fuck You!!! album as fas ar he was concerned. was the working title with songs like 'My Ride Into Afterlife, Munsters, Bon Voyage Mutherfukkers! xx......
Incidently it was later known as The Fashionista, live and released on Snowy Shaw,. is Alive!
