Nice video, I think I was planning the same trip the same day but cried off before you did. Thanks for sharing and great to see the decision making. Having never taken the diversion myself, I was interested to hear how it worked especially when changing the diversion destination.

Great flight. Very useful with the ATC aswell especially the changes to the flight plan. I went to Sandown last week and yes it is bumpy!

Although we did have Calais as a 2nd alternative, we felt it was having similar weather due to its similar location, and we did hear one aircraft divert from Calais when we were in the air.

I had my first visit to Sandown last week. Great place. Had difficulty getting away as the owner is so Chatty and had so many interesting stories… Much shorter trip for me from Bournemouth 😊 Im hoping to put a cross channel in very soon. Keep the vidioes coming. BTW what do you use to record audio. I have a spliter going to a voice recorder and get horrible feedback. Yours is crystal clear.

We all love Danni, :-) I record straight into a gopro (Hero 10 with a media mod), from a splitter connected to the headphone jack, but the key for me was using a 40dB reducer in line, it reduces the audio below distorted levels. I'll do a video soon :-)
