Unusually for a Melies film he had a female comic relief, who was cute. Looking at the girls (Fernande Albany) film history, she was actually 14 when this was made, & listed as her debut. Seems Melies liked her as she seemed to be listed for many later films of his. Film is like an extended version of 'Trip to the Moon'.
