Came here by forum.xda-developers, I was trying to resolve my wifi weak signal issue on Samsung Galaxy K Zoom, even though it's not the exact phone, gave me clear understanding of Samsung motherboards and I found my wifi antenna, soldered a cable, now got 2 bars stronger strength at 10m distance. Wow! I wish every teardown/disassembly video had such a great image quality and lighting and clear sound. I'm going to replace motherboard of my old trusty i9195 (emmc failed) and this video makes it easy. Great work on keeping correct focus, too - those parts are really tiny!

What a brilliant video thanks very much. A contact pin in the sim card tray had broken off. I got a couple of quotes to fit a new sim card tray and was quoted £29.99 and £70!!! Well I bought the part on Ebay for £2.45 and did the job myself. I dismantled the phone following your instructions, put in the new sim card tray re-sssembled it and everything worked fine. This was the fist time I had ever dismantled a mobile and found it very easy following your guide.

Thank you so much for the video! I managed to save us some money by replacing the Mini USB flex cable myself. Lesson learned: It only takes a couple seconds of baby drool to cause enough corrosion damage to warrant the USB useless.

You need to put a very tiny piece of 'Blu Tack' between the infrared led and the sensor next to it. If there's any light gap between the glass and the sensor the test will fail. Experiment with different amounts of blu tack until it works again :-)

Update: Success !! ... and I didn't have to replace the camera. Just had to remove and re-seat the camera cable and the (front and rear) cameras came good. Previously, I was getting "Camera Failed" for both.

Great video although there was nothing that would suggest what the problem could be for my phone not turning on, no sound, no vibration, no lights...nothing. I had a S2 before that also had no response and it was down to a very small square metal capacitor. When it was removed the phone worked as normal. I thought there may be a similar capacitor on the S4 mini that could also be shorting the power like the S2. Do you know if there is? Thanks

Great video, I've watched it all but I didn't see the magnetic sensor around. My phone was recently exposed to the magnetic field of a huge transformer, and now my magnetic sensor is always around 1500uT, making all compass using apps to not work. fantastic video, changed the broken screen and digitiser with ease, wondering if you could help with another fault. ? the phone was originally dropped from a great height, destroying the screen. on replacing the screen, the phone would not power up or charge, i have since replaced the usb charging port, but still not turning on or charging. i have also checked the battery voltage, not as yet tried a new battery. taking it as the battery is in good working order, is there anything else you may be able to advise checking? thanks again for the video.

Awesome video. Clear and easy to understand. My s4 mini wont charge, I am using a factory wall charger. There is no response from the phone when I plug the charger in, (Charger is working as my wife charges her s4 mini on it). When I plug it into my laptop the phone beeps, has the little lightning bolt appear in the battery symbol but it does not charge nor does the laptop "see" my phone. It is not a battery problem as me and my wife have been forced to rotate batteries and charge them on her phone. I assumed it was a micro usb problem with my phone so I replaced the usb card following your instructions. Thanks again. The problem still remains so I assume it was not the usb port problem as I suspected. Do you have any other suggestions? Your help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
