Lea Salonga performs 'Let It Go' at Globe event

Broadway star and Disney legend Lea Salonga performs 'Let It Go' from the 2014 animated movie 'Frozen' at the Wonderful World of Globe event.

The greatest thing about her voice is the fact that she doesn't even need to belt. Her mix is superb and sounds better than if she tried to yell that song. And anyways, she still has a great belting range but this song is so difficult. She knows her voice and what would sound the best. Lea solanga is amazing and my role model

She actually sings this in the original key, which is very difficult to perform live, as witnessed by Idina's live performances and her struggles with the high notes. Since Lea uses a lot of head voice in her "belts", she never sounds like she is screaming the high notes. This technique is also what has probably helped preserve her voice all these years. Although I did notice a break at the end a bit of a struggle/less clarity in the last note, it was a fine live performance.

I think the last note that was hit was due to audio recording, this was recorded on either a cell phone or low quality camcorder. if you watch a lot of audio recording in which the sinvef hit a high note it has a tendencies to do that, but iveral it was an amazing performance.

I noticed a little glitch in 3:31 but what the heck, it's a live performance and I remember that she once mentioned in The Voice, (not verbatim, of course) "Alam ko, at alam ni Coach Sarah yan, kung gano kahirap kantahin ang Let It Go." Let's cut some slack and give her this credit that it was still a really superb performance. Voices of singers mature along them, as well as their singing styles, so Lea's singing voice and style are of course different from 20 years ago.

The best thing wilh leah's hight note is still soft and clear that match her genre as a disney/stage singer. Her belts is controlled properly which makes it clean and soft to hear. Her belt quality is unique but still can hit it which makes her a legend of her own way as a disney performer.

The words are sang with clarity with correct power and pitch at every note. It's pleasing to the ears even if she belts out. The story through a song should be sang like this. Very good performance indeed!! Lea's style of power singing is not sacrificing the clarity of the lyrics. Sorry Idina but this version I think is much much better than the one in the movie.

***** well, in fairness to her, it was sang live, and it is her 3rd song so i guess she's already exhausted (and she's not that young anymore), imagine it if she sang it in a studio and rehearsed it for months (can you picture it now?). I believe If she's the one who sang the original frozen song, it would've been more epic, and this video is still better than the original and others who sang the frozen song. note: i'm not a lea salongga fan but I can't deny the fact she sang it really good despite not hitting the high note we expect to the video, i still believe she can still belt it out, if she really wants to make a cover of the frozen song. note also: I don't always comment praises unless it is really good not to comment. :))

I had the fortune to be at one of her concerts in January 2015, and she sung 'Let it go". It was one of THE BEST covers of the song I have ever heard! Trust me, it sounds so much better in live than on tape
