I love seeing the kitchen outside of the house. I’m from the Deep South of the USA. We had kitchens outback of our houses when I was a young girl. At 85, today, I appreciate my microwave stove and just eating healthy. Love this family.❤

Just a small tip from someone who lived in South Africa for many years, dry out your used tea bags, jar them in paraffin and use them as fire lighters, works like a proper fire lighter, love this channel, we'll be in Portugal next year setting up our farm life, Merry Christmas and happy new year to you guys 💪

Two very intelligent folks living in tune with nature. You are not existing, you are thriving.🎉😂❤

We currently live in the UK and sometimes it seems like we are only existing, however, having lived in South Africa for so long I definitely relate to your lifestyle in Portugal, I have farmed and am a very technical person, my partner is nervous about the move as she moved from Poland to the UK 15 years ago and basically only knows this way of life, I've now convinced her to make this big leap and she seems more comfortable ( after many months of convincing i must say),anyway, we are subscribed to your channel and will continue to be inspired with your progress, thanks again for sharing your journey, keep well, maybe we will all meet some day soon, as we say in South Africa, sterkte en Al's van die beste💪

Hi, Lea and Maartin! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! As always, I enjoyed this pleasant and heartwarming video. I love the walk to the garden with your pretty skirt, sweater, black hose, and carrying the veggie basket. The food looked heavenly! I give my chickens scraps from the garden, too. I have split plenty of wood in younger days. Even though it's hard, there is comfort in knowing you will have good warm fires. We are blessed now that one of our son's cuts and splits our wood, we just have to go get it at his house and place it on our porch. The video of everyone sitting around the table eating your delicious meal was like so special. Take care, and many blessings are sent your way. Janice from Arkansas USA

Put corks from wine bottles in a jar with denatured alcohol and use it as a starter for your fireplace. A good way to recycle the wine corks. Nice to see you all are okay, calm and happy. Happy Holidays, and a hapy 2025 full of whatever you desire. ❤❤🍀🍀🍀🍀 I also have other channel, so I will follow you with other identity, in your new channel. Good luck,as if was for me ! 😍😍💕💕

Wishing you all a wonderful New Year. I am glad to see the chickens are doing well. I saw eggs here 8$ per dozen yesterday. I also heard the 18$ a dozen and was concerned for my flock and the health scares here. I cannot say if it helps but I keep nettings to try to keep other birds and bird flu from my girls. No roosters allowed in towns. We are approaching cold of winter here. Looking at my books, most of my hens are 2017 hatch some are 2019. Beautiful meal you always make. .
