I learned about quick sand on the North Platte River west of Scottsbluff. Wearing 3/4 length irrigation boots I jumped onto a sandbar not realizing there was quick sand. Filled the boots clear up!

I have been watching _Laura_ _Farms_ for years. She had mentioned her dad several times, but not the last year or two. Usually each farming task is obvious what it is for and why it is done. But this one is the most puzzling. Why does some corn need to be destroyed? How does one make it so that every fifth (?) row is male?

How do you know that all grease points receive enough grease. When greasing by hand you can feel in it takes grease or not. Now you can only check if grease bubbles out or hear if it runs dry.
