I have seen this just through the past season, however, from the Green Bay Packers. They combined the concept with a couple of their deeper two-man combinations. I think the one I saw in particular was Dagger however could easily see it being added onto something like Mills or even Yankee. There’s a ton of creative things you can do with this tag and I love it!

Can you make some plays out of a 4x1? I saw it in a movie and always wondered how it worked. The idea was to flood the zone with the quad and force one on one with the single receiver. I guess the single receiver would run a variation of run and shoot, reading the defender and change his option route.

What is the timing and QB progression for this? Drop back (3 step from gun), if corner route is open at the end of the drop sling it, if not, work down to the swing, if the CB for some reason defeats the block, then work to the snag?

We go corner, snag, flat but I have seen it taught differently. We are 3 from the gun, corner route with hitch if your feet move get to the snag/flat
