This is my Daddy's song. We lost him at the beginning of '24. I am shattered but know as long as I share my memories with my children...he'll never be gone ❤❤

This song reminds me of my father who passed away May 1, 2020. Sang it to him the day before he died.

Great to see Dan's incredible music being recognized by contemporary artists. Excellent performance!

I agree big time. I knew his father Lawrence and was lucky to see him here in his hometown of Peoria twice!
@thunderkid19842 жыл бұрын
@@lancedieckow7541 That's awesome! Really wish I could have seen him live. I discovered his music after his passing, unfortunately. Strange turn of events I met one of his nieces a few years back while I was substitute teaching. I was calling attendance and the last name stuck out to me, sure enough she was related to him.

The audience is pissing me off. This is a mellow song that you listen and you appreciate the artistry behind it and the message in it. The new young audiences have no fucking respect. If you took this group of artists up on the stage and put them in a similarly filled concert hall in the 70s 80s or 90s, you wouldn’t hear anything but the music and the message which is what was important

Would all the viewers of DF be willing to if not already done so sign the petition for his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Induct Dan Fogelberg Into The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame

This is such a magical song, and they did a great job........ that being said, there are some songs (that to me) should be left alone. Some songs should be untouchable, and this is one of those songs. If you can't sing it in the right key, leave it be.

This song begs for you to be quiet and listen. This audience disrespects it and talks and makes noise throughout. Nothing is sacred anymore I guess.

88shirleyb88 : Different, but a great honest tribute to a great song and a great songwriter and singer. Thank you. When I heard the first few seconds of your version, I made up my mind to not like it; but by thirty seconds into the song I realized, "Hey dumbass (that's me) they don't have to sound just like Dan Fogelberg; and you don't. But you still sound great. I think this is an honest and beautiful tribute to him and this beautiful song. Once again, thank you.

@philliesfan19717 жыл бұрын
Feel free to check out the original. It's pretty much Dan and his guitar with harmony vocals at the end. There is a brief interlude of horns and strings which is the main tribute to his father, who was music and band teacher.

@lookitsagrape14 ай бұрын
I'm not the first one to say this, but the audience needs to shut up and enjoy the song. There are some songs that lend themselves to cheering throughout, and there are other songs that require respect and reverence. The leader of the band by Dan fogelberg does not need a hype man to keep the song going. Anytime I've gone to see a band live, regardless of the genre, when everyone grabs a stool and forms a semicircle, The audience realizes this is a quiet/unplugged song and they need to shut up for a second.
@frankstackowitz92348 жыл бұрын
Wonder why none of the musicians wanted to play along?
@Djarkness8 жыл бұрын
Because to add anything to this song would ultimately take away from it.

@amandawyss62606 жыл бұрын
No. Just no. I've been singing for 20 years, and have studied different vocalists and techniques for just about as many years. ZBB are fabulous. Their live shows are amazing. If you don't like their voices, that's one thing, but to say that they CAN'T sing is an absolute fallacy.
