LEADERSHIP BITES: CONNECTIVITY
A "bite sized" leadership principle that I’ve been using for a number of years to develop a high performing team.
Connectivity is a common term we use everyday to help identify our ability to connect. We apply it to WiFi and Cellular phone usage.
This visual indicator at the top of our phone is a measure of our connectivity. We’re more confident of a good connection, when we see the right number of bars.
With few bars we might have a limited or shallow connection but with 4 bars we believe our communication will be effective.
In this demonstration, I apply the concept of connectivity to our leadership of individuals and the whole team.
These are my 3 tips to strengthen your connectivity:
1. From the outset create a respectful environment
2. Be a person who listens rather than speaks
3. Serve others-put others ahead of yourself
These tips have helped me to develop the best environment for connectivity, which I’m sure you’ll find this demonstration very helpful.
