I feel like this was the experience for most Marines from 2017 and beyond...a lot of changes. Thanks for sharing

The military must have been horrible during Covid. RIP to those Marines that drowned.

When the Marine Corps isn't in war it's a whole different Corps. When back in the States they worry more about starched uniforms, saluting officers who drive by in the car when walking, just more games in general instead of actually training for the next combat deployment which they should be doing regardless. I get the attention to detail and all but the officers and Staff Nco's definitely play more bs games especially being a grunt. Of course, war comes with a high cost but I wouldn't want it any other way at least during my time in. We're Marines, though and it's why most of us joined. Another great interview and Marine, UV. SF, Brother.

Peacetime USMC getting back to their roots, treating grown men like children than wondering why they have retention problems…. Ridiculous…

I respect the Marines. RIP Uncle Gene USMC, killed in Vietnam. Their leadership does in fact leave people behind and absolutely plays mind games. It’s the government. They are all about games.

POG officers in charge of grunts is disastrous. When I say POG officers I mean officers who have that POG attitude even though they went through platoon leaders course. I’ve experienced the same leadership turnover from GREAT to not so good. It’s the nature of organizations.

LSD 49. We caught fire on the middle of an amphibious landing. Motors stopped working I was just a cruncher so I don’t know how they work. I know our crew chief said we almost became fish food. Aquaman was the first to go down everyone had smoke inhalation because you can’t open up them two top doors unless you wanna take on water.

A deployment to the California border. That speaks volumes about the status of our country today. I retired in 2015 and believe it or not I saw this Marines kinda story coming way before his time

Wonder how many Marines who were forced into the jab had negative results.

@@0311-z2cas someone who went in 2013 and got out 2017, this is so relatable lol. Our unit was on rotation for Afghanistan when suddenly the withdrawal was starting to go down. Trained hard and stayed home 😂 now when I think back, I feel like I have some FOMO as stupid as that sounds

The fuck do you want us to do about the timing? I can’t force a deployment brother s
