Colonel DKS Sharawat is the leader of the battalion which conducted Operation Vijay during the Kargil War in 1999. Belonging to a small village in Bhiwani, he has been serving the Indian army for the past 21 years. He joined the NDA at Khadakwasla Pune and chose to join the Naga regiment, where he received his training.
