No wonder, why my granpa cried so much and drank so much..the feeling of losing someone under his command haunted him till his death..they are special breed..we civilians never understand what these generals go thru..The Army teach the officers to Lead them (soldiers) in to battle, but officers lead them from the front, that's the tradition, God speed to you sir.
