The importance of small steps! Picture a ladder with close rungs or a ladder either very far apart rungs that you cannot even reach - you’ll get to your goal by taking smaller steps 😊 So yes, improve by 1% each week. I love this concept! Also along with asking for objective feedback, ask if that person was able to enter into worship while you led because there are so many preferences and opinions you might get 3 totally different responses 😊

I read Cooperate Worship and really enjoyed it! You say it's tiny, but it is so full of biblical quotes! I found myself going back and forth between the book and The BOOK that it took me a while to read it. LOL. It answers the basic questions that we take for granted and really digs in. I definitely recommend it.

I'm 22 and have been leading worship for nearly 8 years but have been having doubts for a while about whether it's even a biblical office in the church and whether I'm just giving my pastor an excuse to rush through a 30 minute sermon I've noticed this shift of emphasis for the past few years less and less time given to preaching and teaching the word and more and more time given to singing. Can anyone else relate ?

Every worship leader should listen to sound plus doctrine for real cuz they emphasize that music is great but Jesus is greater
