LEADSOLO / PlayGuitarSolos

5 жыл бұрын

In this video I cover the the acoustic guitar chords, and also show the lead guitar solo in a slow clear view. The chords are Gm, F, C, Cm, with and Eb appearing during the lead solo. Listening closely, I was able to determine he used a capo to play the acoustic part. I find just by listening closely you can get the clues you need to know just how things were done by the guitarist. The lead guitar solo focuses on the Gm pentatonic scale. Pretty much the same notes, but always in a different order, make it a challenging solo to get down precisely as the recording was done. But as usual, repetition is the key. That's what always ends up just making it automatic for me.

I was lucky to watch him live. Nowadays, he doesn't use a capo, because he has a tiny guitar tuned in G already :D I thought it was pretty cool!

Just a little question: What part of your hand do use to strum the chords? Do you use your thumb or your finger(s)?

Hi thanks for your question and sorry for the slow reply. I meant to answer this earlier and I forgot. Part of the reason I didn't reply right away though is because I really don't know what I do because I almost always use a pick. I had to just watch the video to see what I do. And after watching it I realized I'm just strumming with my fingers. The only reason I didn't use a pick was because I just didn't want it to sound so hard and it's just easier to softly strum with your fingers but the technique is something I never thought about I just kind of relax my fingers and hit the strings.
