Leadville 100 Ultramarathon | More Than The Miles

The Leadville 100 ultramarathon is a 100-mile race that climbs and descends 15,600 feet through the Colorado Rockies. An intimidating task in itself, but as your first ultramarathon, quite ambitious.
What seemed to be a solo adventure for Nick Bare, quickly proved to require a team of individuals dedicated to one common goal.
This story isn't about simply finishing 100 miles. It's about the power revealed when a team comes together and supports each other as they set out to push their limits.
With each mile comes both challenge and achievement, similar to a journey of life.

Wow, huge congrats on your first 100, Nick, that is fantastic! And thank you so much for including the parts that showed all of your struggles and difficulties. So many 100 mile race vids skip past all of that terrible part and so you can't get a good feel for what an incredible battle it was for the runner. I still have yet to do my first 100 miler, and hope to do one some day in the future.

These races should all be self-sustained. No help. Not everybody has the luxury of a team of 5-6 people helping. Sorry these all need to be self sustaining. There are aid stations and volunteers to help a little along the way.
