LEADVILLE, CO | The Window Seat

For approximately 2 weeks, I hit the road traveling from Los Angeles to Leadville for a couple of work projects around the Leadville 100/Leadman Series. One project specifically chronicles Dave Mackey's return to racing after suffering a bad accident and subsequently deciding to amputate. Inspiring to say the least.
It wasn't all work however. During those 12 days in between projects, I got to get in some epic runs/hikes in the great state of Colorado including running a stage at the Transrockies race (thank you Ultimate Direction for the entry!). This episode focuses on some behind the scenes from work and all the great views and people I met along the way.

Love that you sleep in your car, but have a ton of caps hanging up! A variety of caps and sunglasses are required gear! I'm totally the same way. What a fun road trip! Thanks for sharing with us!

In high School I was a runner, back in 2015/2016 I actually lived in Leadville I'm originally from the East Coast and I absolutely loved my time out there. Watching this film gave me goose bumps and makes me want to return to Leadville and run the 100 as my first ultra. Thanks billy!

WOW ! This is almost the same road trip I took...Went to Silverton the week before Hardrock and did the Kendal Mt. Run...stayed a week and a half and watched Hardrock....then headed up to Leadville to meet my Treking Company . Im trekking to Mt. Everest in November. I spent 3 weeks in Colorado....beautiful country. Your video reminded me so much of my trip...a trip I hope to do again.
