Very clever! I like the way your mind solves problems. I wonder on the large size stamp if you were to get the negative to have a slight curve in the horizontal if rolling the stamp would make your image easier. Anything to keep from lifting and flipping a slab you know ;^)

Jamie, what are your thoughts about using silicon in place of plaster?

Hi Lora, I have not used that medium although I have purchased some already cast silicon molds. I prefer the firmness of plaster. That medium maybe easier for some applications.

So, I just made a large fern imprint. Way too complex to cut out. Can I just coddle it with a wall and pour the plaster in and then roll the slab on top of it. Too difficult to make a stamp. I think that's what you said...
