Only reason I want to try a leaf is for head shaving. I don’t mind shaving my head with any of my DE razors (I enjoy it) but still am curious about the Leaf enough to try it.
@stevensparks194 жыл бұрын
I actually ordered one of these a couple weeks ago for my girlfriend. She hates the waste associated with disposable razors so I spent some time looking up a good alternative to a cartridge but without the learning curve of a safety razor. I ended up picking this one because it didn’t take proprietary single edged blades which were over priced. I have a couple hundred blades she can pick from, plenty of which I’m not a fan of using on my face. So far she loves it for her legs, which I think may be it’s best market. I plan to snatch it and try it on my face a couple times to see if I’m into it, but I don’t really have any issues using my safety razor so I’m unsure if I’d buy one for myself.

Aww, I love your personality. You are a very kind and loving person. 😊 I had to subscribe. I just bought a safety razor to try for the first time. I am nervous, but seeing your videos are giving me confidence and making me laugh. I use electric shavers because disposable razors would irritate my skin, but I wanted to try a safety razor since my electric shaver takes a while to achieve a smooth shave. Thank you for sharing your positive and lovable personality with us and helping us to become confident shavers. ☺❤ We are really grateful.

I couldn’t agree more; all this time i had been happy with my classic double edge razors then this leaf ad poop d up on Facebook and prompts me to consider leaving my tried and true double edge safety razors which, I had spent years of spilling blood from cutting myself in the process of learning to use. I refuse to be persuaded by this mass produced, pot metal, razor; my classic Gillette and Schlick razors were all American made and of solid brass. I pass on these leaf gimmicks
@Mvendrel4 жыл бұрын
Great that you redid this. I agree for me a Fatboy or Slim or Rockwell 6 or RazoRock BBS hit my important issues for my face. But leg and head shavers rave about the Leaf. Now we have the metal Twig, which as you say is a great face shaver.

I actually hadn't seen this video when I decided to purchase it. I thought by the first video you made, that there wasn't second one and I purchased it only because of what they stand for in terms of less plastic waste. I can say that the advice you got in the first video is indeed true as that is what I did unknowingly and it worked great for me. I think I still prefer using a de for when cutting down 2+ week growth on my face, but I like this razor a lot.

I’m 54 and have used a Gillette Sensor for as long as I can remember. More than 2 blades always seemed ridiculous to me. The price went up again. I’m done. I also realized how wasteful they are. I’m having trouble adjusting to a DE razor though. Lots of cuts and shaving takes a long time. I’m going to stick it out for a little longer, but the Leaf is my backup plan. Apparently they listened to you when you made this video. They have a 30 day money back guarantee. Come to think of it maybe I’ll just go ahead and order one. Nothing to lose by trying.

The Thorn or Twig by Leaf could do you right. It’s a single bladed safety razor that uses normal safety razor blades snapped into two. Easier than a DE razor and maneuverable as heck. Let me know how you like it!

I think this kind of razor will be really popular with women who like the mild feel of cartridge razors but want a more environmentally friendly option than disposables. It might also be a good “transition” razor for people too scared to jump straight from cartridge to DE.

The whole point of using old school type razors is not having to use 3 blades I just ordered the startup package for the one blade if it's good I'm going to move them get the Genesis one I started using a regular old butterfly safety razor again that's what I learned how to shave on as a kid went back to and I feel that's the best way to shave but I am willing to try these new razors I just ordered the one blade the cheap one for now... I'm also going to give the Supply Company razor a shot but I'm not too keen on buying a razor like this that has 3 blades I might as well just use a cartridge

I think I have pretty much beat the Leaf to death, but sometime in the future, I would like to see you shave 1) with the bottom blade only, and with the bottom and the blade above it. It seems to me that if you use 3 shards you are going to alot of trouble to replicate a Mach 3 which we already have, I also wonder why you didn't try the little, trimmer razor for the nostril hairs right below the nose. I think you have a tougher beard than mine because I don't have to press any harder with my Mach 3 than my Rex Ambassador. I do get more tugging however. Cheers, Ron in Memphis
