I wonder how some small o-rings would work where those grooves are on the handle as an alternative grip to the sleeve.

Just orders mine a few days ago. During the month of April they’re offering the gold finish for $54 dollars on their website in honor of earth month. Shaved by head for the first time ever on Tuesday with my barber and figured if I’m going to do this, might as well be all in and get the best. Thanks for your review

I loved my leaf razor when I was shaving my head. 2 blades were more than enough to get the job done well. I have the sleeve, but without it I'm not sure I would have used it as often over something like the Defender. They really should include it.

I’ll try two blades next shave, maybe I’ll get a sleeve I just hate to cover up the handle cause it looks so good.

Glad you did this review. I've been thinking about getting one myself but wasn't sure. I'm curious as to how often or how many shaves you'll get out of a set of blades.

With double edge or single edge blades I change them out every third shave. I know I could use them more but they’re so cheap using fresh blades almost every shave is doable.

Hi johny im new in this world of safety razor. I always shave bald head and face. I got sensitive skin. I have the gillette king c safety razor and the merkur 34c but they dont give me close shave. Im interested of having the leaf on my Den .do you recommend me this razor. And if gives a nice shave with the three blades. What did you think of Leaf Blades? Are you still using the Leaf Razor and what blades have tou tried with it? I just ordered mine, and also ordered a samply pacl of blades from amazon. DE/SE Razors are new for me, so I've been trying to do some research on blades for someone new like myself, but also fairly efficient so i dont take forever shaving my head.

Do you have to buy single edge blades or can you split a DE blade in two?

great question, I have not tried that but the way snapping a DE blade makes the curved ends on the inside of the blades rise up I am sure it would block the Leaf from closing properly.

You can split a DE blade in two for this razor, the twig, and the thorn. The creators had this design in mind so DE fans can use their favorite blades.

No matter how carefull i shave i keep cutting myself with the leaf razor either with 2 or 3 blades. With my "normal" blades i can shave like a wildman without a single cut; for 100 euro's a complete waste.

Great review. I was very interested in this razor, until seeing “made in china.” Huge disappointment.
