Blue paint was in your daughter's room makeover. 💙 The entryway looks great! I hope it is more functional than the previous set-up. The only thing I would change, would be to add a nice big runner rug. And maybe an additional bench with a couple more baskets or boot trays for shoes, so everyone has their own.

I like this idea, a shoe basket for everyone, no hassle rooting through a shared basket, leaving things on the floor. A runner rug would just bring the space to another level. The space is long enough for another (or two) benches. 😊

The before and after is SO satisfying! And I love that you let your son paint. My Mom let all of us kids do those kinds of projects when we were young and now all of us are very handy and self-sufficient in that respect. Go Handy Shan!

I think it looks good, really opens it up without the family piece. I Like the chair rail and gallery also. It's a good idea that each person has a hook. Suggestion - I would pick up more of those gray bins so each person can have their own. Easier/quicker for kids to find their stuff if they only have to search their bin. Every other week, let them sort out "their" bin and take items back to their rooms. Nicely done!

I love it! I'm getting ready to do an entryway makeover, so this was great timing! I got so many great ideas! I think it would be a great idea to do the black up to the same level on either side of your front door. I think it would make it look more seamless. What a sweet thing for your hubby to say. I really like what you did but it feels a bit empty- but sometimes it takes some time to live in a space to decide if that’s more helpful to be empty or if you feel like it’s missing something- either way I love the styling and think it’s a big improvement. I thought about more benches but if your anything like me- more flat spaces to pile stuff mean more stuff piled- so maybe not! Also any cabinets like you had before in my house just get stuffed with randomness so I do better with less storage but more purposeful and functional storage in small areas like this especially. I was thinking that blue paint looked familiar but I couldn’t place it at first. So glad to see another video! I appreciate your encouragement for my sake and for the sake of a family member who has fibro and it helps me remember to love and not judge.

I think you did a fabulous job! Eric paints better than I do (I’m old enough to have rolled a lot of paint!) I love the wood stain with the black wall…gives it some warmth and looks classy. The hooks are perfect! I might have looked for a taller, chunkier pot to stick the grass in…just to give it some height. If you have one you could put something in the bottom and place the square pot inside. Get some moss from the Dollar Tree to cover it. The light fixture looks great, too! You go, Handy Shan!❤

Love it! The black paint came out beautifully! If you want the bench to blend, you may want to add a layer of finish with slightly red tones. That would bled with the tone of the door. You could also add that to the potted plant if you wanted. Love the hooks and the photo gallery. Gorgeous!!!!

Looks so much fresher and new, you don't realise how much a light fitting can date a home. I'm on my way to a lighting store to get a new light fitting 😉 Still not sure on the black, but love the pictures, hangers and that stained wooden trim, plus the declutter gave a feeling of more room.

Shannon, the entry way looks great. I love the black, a brave choice, but a good one. The hooks for book bags etc. is good under each person’s picture. Question: what about the keys? You took down the key holder, do you have a plan for something else? ….. maybe a cluster of smaller hooks closer to the door? ..they don’t need a sign, just knowing to use them is enough I am your biggest fan and so happy when I see your new postings.
