This could probably help. 1. Pick 3 heroes you really like. 2. Try them in the demo mode through the heroes tab. Keep adding a single level to the characters in the demo as damage isn't the only thing that changes by increasing levels. 3. Then try out the hero in a BOT game to get a feel for how it is playing them on the actual terrain (BOTs aren't a good reflection of how people play but atleast the hero mechanics become second nature eventually)

@@studeogames Aye. That's the video that led me to the second one. Ideally you can try out all the heroes in the bot mode to see which one you like most. Although I haven't played LoL i have heard BAT (Base Attack Time ) and a few other mechanics are more or less universal across all characters (Going off of what I have heard). Which is different here so you'll have to get a feel for the characters you're playing. But nice to see people trying the game regardless of how weird the MoBA communities get. idk why i was suggested this but this is kinda hilarious. how you struggling this much. its exact same mechanics and gameplay loop as league but with way more complexity. just read items. read abilities. watch once of those 1minute shorts that give tips to league players trying dota. literally just need to try making a habit of last hitting your own minions as well and get used to how much more versatile each champion is in dota. its not like league where you are locked into certain roles and playstyles. didn't even attempt to learn the game and gave up on it immediately when your first experience in league was probably the same or worse

I started playing League and Dota 2 again after many years of playing Dota2 and a year or 2 not playing any MOBA's. While there are some mechanics that are different between the two games, the objectives remain the same. You can have a look at heroes who have skills your familiar with. Your main drawback is not knowing the heroes and their skills. Saw other vids of you before watching this one, glad you didn't give up.

Have you played the dota 2 tutorial in the game? I mean, not the first 5 minute thing, but the full course with small guides, each of them takes around 2-10 minutes, and you dont have to complete them all at once. Dota tutorials is actually way better than league's one, but you need to spend like 2-3 hours total with all 4-5 pages of it(maybe even more, havent checked it in a while). And there's also included a community tutorial on the last page, which takes like 1 hour and in some moments might be pretty boring, but overall is very informative.

Dota is different. You have to learn a handful of extra mechanics. What I noticed is that dota is fulll of action. In lol you can sleep for 30min.... Lol is a linear, kiddie arcade, reflex based game with far less tactics.

I think league is almost 2 different games. Ranked games can either be extremely tactical or a mess. Depends on the team but I think that’s any game!

Dota has demo/sandbox type game, where you can try skill of some hero before you actually play it. It is clear to me that you are not understand riki 3rd skill. Maybe if you understand it, it will give you different result
