I don’t agree with your stance at all. Its the same recycled thoughtless opinion of: esport good, community bad. The esport is great because of the community. There are two main types of « feeling good » when playing this game. From my past 10 years of playing it, its: « i finally managed to hit this skill ceiling » or « dude, lmao look at what this guy just did » In the sense that not everyone knows to expect either a competitive satisfaction or a mario party level of chaos, it is true that this game is hard to approach for newcomers. And especially with Riot working 24/7 to limit the amount of toxicity (with crazy success in the last year or so) and the sheer amount of ressource to learn the basics, this game is learnable for sure. Btw what you said about characters feeling distinct is bs. So many champions (there are 169 of them so it was bound to happen) come out as just a reworked version of an old character that was lacking in identity (ie: seraphine replacing sona). The designs are also repeating, but dont get me wrong i love most of these champions. I do think that your video was lacking in any form of substance. The take was cold, no examples were given. « Some countries had a new lifestyle » mention korea and china. If your goal is to talk about something to those who don’t know, make it interesting, show a clip of a nice play and how the crowd reacted, something like fakers shockwave agaisnt RNG or TheShy’s base race. Show some characters that you think are cool. Say that after playing a few games you enjoyed this dude named Swain for his engaging gameplay and his design. And if you talk about the lore… mention necrit or the universe tab on LoL website : a way to learn about it. I have read most of it and i 100% agree with you that it is insanely rich and interesting. But now, and it stands for the video as a whole, it feels like an arcane fan that tried to understand where the show came from, only having roughly heard of it, played a few norms and failed to do sufficient research. As a fan of the game, i love to see new faces around, but i am passionate about it, and i know that a lot of people are as well. I think this video was quite nicely edited so i do think you could pull off a better script.
