Anno 1404 is in my opinion the best entry of the franchise. Good thing the add-on Venice added a nice Multiplayer and some new features. Discover with me what made this game so great!

With the lumberjack that refused to produce 100% (at about 22:20), what you can do is use the pipette tool (the eyedropper) and click on a tree. Then you can place more trees in a higher density than the trees were growing naturally. This should allow you to get 100% easily in that situation.

Hello. You can disable trade notifications in settings. Also, in the construction menu (click that house-like button) in the top-right corner is a curved arrow - clicking it will prevent Alzahir from reacting every time when looking into the oriental buildings options. Ich bevorzuge für Brot die 7mal7 Bauweise mit zwei Mühlen und zwei Bäckern in der Mitte. So habe ich alles übersichtlich. Genauso mit der Bierproduktion, hier sind es 8mal5 und zwei Brauereien in der Mitte. Bei beiden reicht für mich eines dieser Layouts für einen Marktplatz und die jeweilige Prozentzahl an Häusern drumherum.

You nearly pronounced it right, windmill is literally a mill blown by the wind. So it's pronounced like the weather word, wind. Not wind as to wind some string onto a stick or roll.

Might I ask, why do you need to have peasants within your city? Same question with beggars. What would be the issue with having everyone be a nobleman?

since anno 1404 that is gameplay-wise simply impossible. you can only let a certain percentage upgrade to the next population tier. beggars also count as population but have next to no needs. having many beggars allows you to upgrade more regular houses ;) having envoys also increases the amount of promotion rights.

both are equally efficient. the old layout is easier to place with limited space, the "new" one is better for open spaces since it includes the market buildings.

es gibt ein onlinetool (www.anno1404-rechner.de/index.php?lang=de) ich arbeite aber im regelfall nach augenmaß. ich spiele das spiel jetzt schon fast 10 jahre, irgendwann hat mein ein gefühl dafür. außerdem: behalte einfach den lagerbestand im auge. sinkt er produziert du zu wenig, steig ter schnell produzierst du zu viel. finde die mitte ;)

it depends on how much islandstorage i want to. at least +60 tons (4 storages) already helps a lot. yes because they allow me to upgrade more people

Lack of fertility. How do i solve this? It says it can only planted on north Island but when i do, it's says lack of fertility. I can't make any bread now. And the income below 100 gold. This game is so hard

when your viewport is over an island you can see which fertilities an island has. if there is also a question mark it means you can buy seeds and give another fertility. my advice: play the campaign, it is a great tutorial

You should start looking into the campaign of a game a bit more then. They're one big tutorial especially in anno. While the real tutorial prepares you for the campaign, the campaign is a tutorial for multiplayer and longplay
