Thank you for this guide. I tried playing Anno before but i kinda bounced off it because so much unknown elements ware there in the beginning (all those locked off buildings of unknown size? They are only important for land battles to seal off areas

Great video! Admittedly i didn't watch the whole thing but can someone please tell me how to click and drag multiple houses in 1404 Venice, you can do it in 2070 but i cannot for the life of me find anything online that explains if it is even possible let alone any tutorial. all that happens when i click and drag is it rotates the building. I've been playing Anno games for a while and i cannot figure this out.

Where do you get such a big island from? i can manage to build only 4 blocks of your citydesign on my largest island...and it's always split in two by a river

Set the island-size on huge when starting a game. and have a shitton of luck regarding the map seed

Oh so this is where the layout comes from. Been using it to the full effect and the middle deadzone actually does a great job as church & prison zone. Especially on smaller islands

Over small rivers? Yes. Just build a road over it (point A on one side and point B on the other side)

Hi, Why no body use the Residential Wind building and the other block-type Peasants buildings? ...those are very prety! I want to use it but I don't know if I can replace actual citizens houses by those buildings or are those buildings just cosmetical but not housing any citizen at all? honestly i don't know which buildings you mean. i guess those are decorative huildings (hence why i don't know them, because i donÄt decorate my cities) and therefor have no population

Those buildings are under the peasants buildings, Starts with a Mamorial Palace, Residential Wing, Wing, Corner, Bridge Wing, Great hall and a Great House. They all are supoused to assembling a huge Palace Complex that would take a lot of the islad. So for being just decorative is totally a waste of space! ...and the maintaining cost, I have seen the specs table, and can sums up to hundreds, depending on how big it is made. So what is the point of such a buldings, I don't know!

I tend to build my cities in random order. Not the most efficient. But isn't there an enormous amount of overlap between your services?

yes there is an enormous overlap especially when having several districts with debtor's prisons and churches. in return the entire system is modular and each district is self-sufficient. therefor it is also suitable for small islands. imo the benefits outweigh the cost (max 100 coins additional maintenance per district that coudl be saved)

Naja sieht besser aus als es funktioniert mit der Stadt. Die Einflussbereich überlappen sich stark deswegen könnte es effizienter sein. Obwohl es schon schick aussieht :D

Wie auch im Video erwähnt, ist die effizienz von dem layout eher schwach ;) aber es ist klein und modular udn funktioniert deshalb auf sehr vielen inseln sehr gut und kann endlos erweitert werden. das überwiegt in meinen augen die nachteile. und jup die optik ist auch ganz okay. besser als schachbrett :P

A Cathedral is good enough. You'll see a spot for extra satisfaction on the religion window but fulfilling does nothing in game, not even increased tax revenue.

yeah bcs this guide is for housing layouts and not economy. all my guides are about layouts and NOT an efficient economy. if you actually watched the LP series you would know that in this series I went for income through trade and not taxes. just sayin'

mal abgesehen davon dass ich vor diesem layout die halbe stadt abgerissen hatte um sie für diesen guide neu aufzubauen. entsprechend hatte ich noch die versorgung für die große stadt, aber nicht das einkommen, welches sich erst währenddessen wieder aufbaut. ich hatte das auch gemacht damit mir nicht mittendrin die waren ausgehen und ich deshalb nicht upgraden kann. Aber hey, das würde ja mitdenken deinerseits voraussetzen um den zusammenhang zu schnallen. idioten wie du die erstmal das maul aufreißen und haten bevor sie nachdenken hab ich echt gefressen.

Income balance is highly deceiving, it doesn't take into account passive or active trading. I'm frequently at negative balance but making tons of money by over producing key good and selling them.
