Varlamore is the biggest risk region, because Sol is the only grandmaster echo boss. I was originally planning VMT but now I'm leaning MTF to lose out on blood moon early, rumours, and colosseum to gain muspah and venator, a butt ton of range str for your bp machine gun, and the mega jewelry 6-3-1 instead of 6-0-4 Also if you go AFK, make sure you go KFA because asgarnia is a rough region to take first.

VMF is better in every way, plus you get to kill echo sol. Void and zcb arent worth picking Asgarnia based on what we've seen so far. You dont need a spec weapon when your tbow shits on literally everything with 100% accuracy

For the ranged tank build, I would recommend going with zeah/asgarnia/fremennik. If your tank armour is justiciar, it doesn't benefit from ava's devices and you will be going through any dragon ammo 5x faster; and without amethyst from asgarnia, you're going to be down to rune ammo for most of your combat. Void/bandos/torva does not interfer with ava's, while also being great melee alternatives for when you're going for str/att/def xp milestones. The quiver from varlamore does allow you to bypass the ammo problem though, since it works with all armour types.

Desert is only a bad pick for range since the drygore and range masteries have massive redundancies. Drygore is so good as a secondary style that its actually perfect for melee focus

Nah I'm 100% sure this will be a good choice. I calc'd the BP with just the tier 3 ranged relic and masori and it was like 36 DPS iirc lol. You're gonna have a blast 😁

Reminder for anyone going FMA that the Justiciar chest will interfere with your Assembler's ability to save ammo. You do already have 95% from the passive, but you won't be getting the 99% that you might otherwise be expecting. You'd lose the Justiciar set effect, but you can still use other tanky options in that slot, like Torva or Bandos, if you feel like you are running out of ammo too quickly.

I'm going DMV, 6 melee 4 ranged. Drygore Blowpipe, Dharoks, Noxius Halberd, Rancour amulet, Ultor Ring, Machine gun Karils, All the double hit melee weapons, Quiver, etc. There's a lot of power in these regions with the two (imo) better raid regions, ontop of crazy challenges like the Colo and Echo Sol. Melee also does well against most of the challenges in these regions as well. And with today's reveal of Last Stand, I have more confidence in being able to take down Echo Sol for that last combat mastery point. Going to be so much fun :D

other than the spec relic (which we all expected anyway) they don't really interact with your build very much. if you have asgarnia or desert you can consider picking the spec relic. otherwise pick your favourite of guardian or last stand and you'll be fine regardless of your region/mastery picks.

The worst region combo will be whatever I end up picking! Honestly I've been thinking about going V/Z/M (no particular order). The last thing I was doing was Gauntlet farming on GIM so I'm not too keen to do that on league. The activities in V/Z feel pretty comfy to me. Zeah having the easiest echo boss, so I probably can get that one at least. Varlamore having the hardest so I have something to aspire to. Morytania helps fill out gear options with Echo Boss Gloves, Rancour, Aranea Boots, bloodfury if I really need it, Noxious Halberd might slap.

@@bulbasa9r753 I havent locked in yet. I am leaning towards melee because the T6 melee is basically old school windfury from WoW and I know my monkey brain will be entertained by the echo procs. Ranged is probably stronger. The Hespori weapon is definitely weaker if measuring it against other end game options but its stats are still decent. I'm someone that is learning some bossing and raids still. Hespori is likely the easiest echo boss or at the very least easy enough that I should be be able to beat it. There's also the chance that you can reach the point of beating Hespori before you have other options available and can use it to further yourself along. Keep in mind that I believe you need all three styles for CoX.

PSA that even for anyone planning to go melee, t3 range first for a hybrid build offers EXTREEMLY INTERESTING VALUE! for most region plans since rune thrown knives OR dragon/amethyst/rune darts come online very very very very earlye for 1tic/2tic combos and 4 tic rcb so you can get massssssssive value out of it and itll HARD CARRY through fire cape vs t5 2tic melee fire cape would which means EASYER 6 masteries for t3 range t3 melee! then you get 4tic buffed melee weps and 1-3tic buffed range weapons to go an THROTTLE most of your bosses for echos to unlock the last 2 paasives for t5 melee to come online about the time your ready for endgame grinds like fang, sra, raids, halber, slayer bosses etc! opening up the early game with range hybrid IF OFC YOU ACVUTALLY WANT IT LATER, is the most tempting beyond believe even ignoring blowpipe access or any final combat relic because i EXPECT to have 8 mastery points by the time we reach bankers note tier~ and by thne ull know which you want, and if you go BN then getting the rest of your echo bosses is just practice so 8 masters is gaurneteed making t5 melee t3 range extreemly extreemly fun for almost any pathing IM SO HYPED FOR THE HOLIDAY VACATION LEAGUE LAUNCH I PRAY LAUNCH GOES WELL! I wanted to go 3 range first for melee but concerned about needing to beat zuk or echo sol for my 9th mastery and both for the 10th means that I won't have the healing on range or delay the melee power spike hard. Edit: going Morty and I think dharocks is going to be s+tier till scythe from my DPS calcs pretty much everywhere.

I was surprised Double's Reaper build opted for 4 magic - My plan has been VTM for a while now, and part of the reason I locked that in when masteries came out was the possibility of a 1 tick blowpipe and 3 tick bowfa. The latter in particular should be really useful for the Inferno pre-second mega-rare drop. Having grotesque guardians as an example for going mage was also kind of weird, since that fight is one of the places you can reliably stand still while attacking - the blowpipe will absolutely shred Dawn. Having 4-tick ice barrage for nylos does sound nice, but I'm not sure it's worth it.

Youre right! For people planning on going 6 melee, it will be optimal to go 3 range or even 3 mage first to reach the point where you can start melee masteries at an efficient point in the game. Also youll have massively boosted combat xp with the 2x multiplier so you can leave melee training til then

I'm going VFZ hoping to learn cox and col a bit. Also want to mess with the venator bow, if you can get 3 bounces it'll heal 5 hp every 4 ticks with an extra hit left over, so in total with all the healing bonuses it pans out to 72 over 20 ticks ending up with a massive 3.6 hp per tick, If you find a group of mobs that can even survive that long of course. Maybe in colosseum. Either way Tbow destroys sol so i just need to not get hit by every attack, at least on normal sol.

Honestly, I plan on a slight variation on the FMA and Glass cannon builds. If I do DAF/DFA, I get access to torva for tankiness vs. justicar (whose mitigation is about the same as the damage reduction passive), and amethyst for ammo upkeep. I think losing a bit of tankiness for the ability to not have to farm vorkath for dragon bolts/darts is very nice.

I am going D-M-A in that order with a 6/3/1 build. Get access to torva, rancor, prims, scythe and pre scythe can hopefully get a fang. For range gear you have full masori, zcb, drygore blowpipe. Just seems really really fun in terms of range secondary being very powerful, with TONS of PVM grinds and both ToB and ToA for content. Not forced into JUST one raid (which is both great for me to play and raid with friends in multiple regions)

Dharok Bombers deserve a spotlight, echoes with DOUBLED dharoks will be the craziest hitsplats we have EVER seen

with Fremmy/Morytania you can hit 152 max hit with Dharoks BEFORE accounting for echo hits, with lucky rolling playing a huge part in consistency, and you can access the Locator Orb for easy self-damage without death risk. Third region has some good options for stats to bump your max hit up, but for my case I'm partial to using wilderness just to have fun with the debuff immunities and AOE sword on the side. Either way, this Dharoking setup can hit over a whopping 40 dps WITHOUT EVEN BEING 1 HP depending on the enemy, including most TOB enemies in normal mode.

And as a sidenote, due to having Fremenik you can reliably farm up Vorkath for Dragon Darts and pair with a mere tier 3 (or 4, but i wouldnt recommend inexperienced players try zuk on a melee focused setup just for that) ranged masteries, creating 1 tick easy darts, in case you need a reliable ranged option, and you may additionally utilize the araxxor halberd if melee safespotting is required

Idk that it changes the numbers that much, but people were saying the sunlit bracers were additive with the passive not multiplicative, so you’d get 220% healing not 240%

I plan on going the Full metal alchemist but plan on trying to get a venator bow early. If the bounces from venator bow count towards the 5 hp heal then the venator bow would be the most healing from a range weapon and with it having a 2t attack speed you can still move and possition with a minimal dps drop.In general I think people are sleeping on just how powerful the venator bow is going to be during the grind to max gear.

For VTF what's the best way to upkeep darts? You can make darts with Desert and Tourist Trap, or go Asgarnia for Amethyst darts which don't need the quest, but would you be reliant on just drops for this combination?

Not the build I'm going for but it was one that I considered heavily, the thing to remember is that the quest is only needed to smith dart tips not add feathers to them. As such T gets you crystal imps which have fairly common drops of rune and dragon dart tips as well as rune darts, D imps also drop dragon tips. F also gets you Vorkath who similarly drops a few dart tips. Combine that with the CM1 passive being a 95% chance not to use them and I was pretty confident that while getting the fist batch could be irritating upkeeping them wouldn't be too awful unless you absolutely hated taking a hunter break every now and again.

11:50 Yes, it's good to see somebody bringing up the exact strategy I want to go with! Originally, I thought I'd go Z/F/A in that order to try for the jewelry first, but I think Void would be more important after you get the salamander. Also, would it make more sense to go 5 Magic first since Hespori's 100% weak to Fire to try rushing the salamander? It would also mean you'd have the executing abilities for slayer earlier, making the grind for Cerberus quicker. Maybe the back-end numbers mean magic still sucks in comparison though, I'm not sure.

I've been planning ZAF since the echo bosses were announced. With the right relics is also makes maxing veeerry easy. My only thing I'm unsure of is 6/4/0 or 4/6/0. Grimoire will be an easy pick since with Zeah overgrown won't be required to max, and unlocks "all spells" making things like tan leather not diary locked (with bankers note, farming vorkath is 99 crafting), and of course piety/ancients. Basically, unsure if I focus range or melee. Can get BiS Melee with these regions, and BiS range if getting t6 passive. Edit: Plus with Natures' reprisal, can max 59s with melee 7 tiles away.

I think I’m gonna be doing VWM with melee focus and side of range. I haven’t played osrs that much lately and Varlamore was pretty much a lock no matter what because I want to use leagues to see what all of Varlamore has to offer. The only things I know are Hunter rumours and Perilous Moons and I’m sure I’ll try to do as much as I can there and maximize what it has to offer. 2nd is Wilderness because I think the echo boss drop just makes me want to go there now. And pretty good money resource region in general. Finally Morytania with same reason the echo boss dropping a huge buff to Barrows equipment is gonna be insane. And then add to that the Last Stand relic with Dharok bombing is gonna be super huge. With all that said all 3 of these regions are regions I have never done, and that makes it official that I’ve done every region in the game if you also count Zeah from Leagues 1.

Man you weren't kidding, I am reconsidering my whole build lol. I was planning on melee and using Nature's Reprisal for the meme, then putting stuff into ranged if I did more than 6 tasks. But that Glass Cannon build has me thinking I'll do the opposite. I'll definately put a twist on it though. I want to do the 1-tick blowpipe, so I'll have Tiranwinn, but I'll consider that the last boss I do since I'm not big into PvM. I'll start with Kourend for Hespori and the dense task list, then I'll see how I'll feel for the second one. I'll probably go with the safe option of Asgarnia for more tasks, but maaaybe I'll stick to Fremminik as you recommend. I normally hate Dagannoth Kings but with a tribrid weapon they might be way easier, I'll wait and see how hard their echoes are. So, Glass Cannon but either K/F/T or K/A/T. Actually maybe I'll do the second just because of my name lol.

Ok wait, I just remembered the blowpipe for Kalphite Queen. I'm not actually familiar with any Tiranwinn bosses, and I haven't even done Song of the Elves. But I have done Tempoross and Kalphite Queen. And same deal with DKs, I don't like switching combat styles. Which isn't a problem with a tribrid weapon, AND by that time I might have prayer penetration from t6 combat mastery. And screw it, with all these bonuses, I might even try raids! I promised myself that in Leagues 4 and never even got close, but it'd be a good stretch goal. In any case, I know I'll start with Kourend, because I'm familiar with skilling bosses. But I will be pushing myself to try new things this year! So, looks like either K/D/F or K/A/D. Again, depending on if the DK echoes look too tough. And if they do, Desert might as well be my last pick.

Im sort of torn, but definitely going with a ranged / melee build overall 6-4. Torn between D/T/F, M/D/F, and F/D/A... what a sentence. D/T/F is good for having stronger melee with the crystal, as well as the venom / +10 range str over drygore for the bp, while desert provides easy darts and masori, as well as raids in general. FDA gives really nice spec weapons for ranged and melee with zaryte xbow and dogsword as well as still allowing you to bulk up quite a bit with Torva. Ironically MDF allows you to do the really tanky build with drygore / tbow and justicar as well as a lot of fun content. Definitely sure on desert and frem though personally.

I'm pretty locked in for W / F / M and it would take a crazy relic/reveal to shake up my plan. Khopesh is just to interesting and unique to not try out and I've been wanting to learn ToB for some time, so those two are definitely not going anywhere. Frem shores up my off styles by a lot and gives me access to fun weapons like SRA and Venator bow. The only thing that could maybe shift my build would be if the spec relic is straight up bonkers and make me side eye at Asgarnia

Dont forget about the "knives edge" dharok build with echo gloves. You will need to manage your hp (27 hp to tie with most syth setups), but if you can do that it competes with syth and out dps's any non syth melee option by a mile.

A small note on FAM, this combo works better with 0-6-4 for a few reasons: maging is more valuable for tob teams, since the majority of teammates will run 6-4, jts more vakuable for phosani and dks as daganoth supreme has 250+ magic levels so it can easily be tbowed/ranged while rex cant be, and you will be doing far more echo dks Gg's arent difficult whatever you run and gloves of the damned are not very important to the build.

I strongly disagree that maging is more valuable for tob teams. You mage for less than 10% of the entire raid, the other 90%+ is melee. I would much rather do tob with a freezer that has 6 melee mastery rather than 6 (or 4) magic mastery.

My current build is DMF 0-5-5 General progression will be to do barrows first, Get Karil's and Ahrims. By this time I should have at least 0-0-5 with a Jad kill. I can then Try my luck at Grotesque guardians echo and also grind for 100 combat once I get my gloves for melee training. With echo gloves and full barrows sets I should be able to take on KQ and echo KQ. This will give me the Drygore if luck goes my way and with 8 masteries now I should be ready for DKS with a 1t Drygore BP and 2T ancient spells with full ahrims. Virtus robes will be BiS mage gear and I'll have things like the 2T Shadow, Nightmare stuff, Ancient sceptre etc to farm for. Range will be full Masori with Drygore and 2T Tbow one I manage to do inferno with the Drygore and Ancients. I had an idea for a Melee alt at 6-4-0 or 6-3-1 which is like your VMT but VMA instead with Full torva and Dogsword specs.

Putting M there is a solid pick. You have your plan set also for mid-game. Me myself I'm hesitating between ZMF and DMF. Both Z and D have many tasks and both have a raid. With Grimoire I can sacrifice D and still have ancients. I do not want to rely on RNG when going for Shadow. Last leagues gave me PTSD with dry streaks in toa and then multiple lightbearer rings.

I'm more than happy to do it this time since I have both mage and range but I went melee last time and had crap mid-game progression. Because of that I burned out going too hard on points to try and rush T8 and grind ToA with shitty melee weapons until I got a fang. Then my other BiS stuff was to grind Torva at Nex. Too much endgame PvM stuff and I got burned from spamming specs as well so If the choice comes between spec and passive prayer and hp drain, I'm going with drain this time.

Im going for something similar to full metal archer. Take desert instead of mory because toa is just a bit easier. Instead of justi you get both masori and torva so you get a sliding scale of dps vs tank from void to torva. Tbow should be insane (some rough math landed me at 2 minute nex solos), and with the t6 passive you don't really need more than t6 range to fly through toa.

What disappoints me about this video is Shine doesn't mention that you need a zuk kc for the 10th CM point even a single time. Which makes builds like that Exterminator build super difficult.

M/T/F 4/6/0. With the t6 range, blowpipe basically becaomes BIS at everything that doesn't have range immunity or a high magic level. Want to see how the 5 tick healing works before I can choose between total recal and banker's note Only tempting thing is to go to desert for Masori for some extra range DPS, but it's only 2 DPS and you miss out of the tank range from ToB Also curious of t1 passive stacks with assembler to save 100% ammo. If so, just need 1 dragon dart drop and you're good

I'm going Z T F to Max and camp CMs for the pet and dust. My first 2 days of leagues will be setting up the afk life. I'm taking overgrowth, animal handler and shady deals. Gunna afk master farmers till I have enough seeds to never worry about it again, then complete the krawmbwan quest to afk fish and cook while in having passive supplies for prayer Potions being sent to the bank. My main food for the leagues is just going to be fish and prayer pots. Not even going to bother with brews and restores because ill be a bank noter. With the hespori weapon ill be completely set on mage and melee. Going 3/6/1 i think (not100%) but 2tick bowfa 100% accurate hits through prayer. Sounds pretty nutty to me.

With a setup like that I'd probably be looking to make mage work with the K echo item + virtus. You don't get the 50% attack rate, but that actually is somewhat compensated for by the tier 2 magic mastery that increases your max hit by 5% per tick in-between attacks (unless I misunderstand how that works). It's still not really anywhere near the meta setups but you're at least still doing more dps than maingame meta setups.. I think :'D

Vorkath is available, which covers dragon scales and rune dragons are also available with fremenik, and rune dragons also drop wrath runes. They're just harder to obtain in mass.

If you want to make the worst zone possible there are a couple zones you have to eliminate right away, especially with tormented demons providing amazing weapons for every style by default. Frem on its own makes any tormented demons option amazing Tir on its own will make Emberlight amazing Mory is amazing on its own with Barrows sets Zeah will be amazing for any combination of mastieries with Nature's Reprisal and prayers This leaves Asgarnia, Desert, Wildy, Kand, and Varlamore. All of these require some support or goal from the start to be good imo. Using these I'd say the worst would be W/K/V. This avoids raid, makes it so that 1 echo boss is extremely difficult, and splits focuses between 2 styles. There are saving graces to even this pick though. Devil's Element will make kills on KBD easier, and Kopesh with Piety will be good for Sol.

Throw in the Relic effect and you might just 1 hit barrows brothers

If you don’t want to take the farming/herb relics it will definitely be a little tough, but taking either will make it so much simpler. Your third region could be something that’s better for farming/herbs if you don’t want to take either relic

@danielramin6734 hi, this was my train of thought, feel like not taking Grimoire could be detrimental to my pvm grinds and I am utterly bad, but definitely need some type of herb relic, with theiving relic and master farmers seeds won't be a problem for example but that will be hella farm runs. The 3rd option is a toss-up between Mory and Zeah ( I've done zeah a few times, but without favour, that seems much better)

Gets you tons of herbs without having to farm anything but secondaries. If you’re trying to max though, you may want Zeah for farming and then you don’t have to take FF if you want DD.

Those seems interesting, for me i will go ranged again this leagues, the never miss thing is just too good for me to pass, especially with the prayer bypass, but i'm not so sure on regions, i want to try the gauntlet so that is a must, Fremmy seems like a must too, then i don't know if i should go to the wilderness since it have the Khopesh which really liked in concept i liked and too many training methods and good dart sources, or if i should go Morytania for barrows and of course the TBow, but i never done a raid before so i'm not sure if ToB would be fine for me to do... Any opinions and comments for me? i would really appreciate your insights (i don't want to go asgarnia/desert again since i did that last leagues tho)

If you're not experienced with raids and want to learn then you can always take desert, ToA will be much easier to learn for a solo player

@@Ricardo_Rick Oh my bad, mory would be great imo, you should be able to find groups for ToB, I'd imagine there will be a lot of learner groups, and people willing to help. You can get justi and a tbow for the range tank build which is only a few dps behind masori/void range on zuk, and as you say you can get barrows for the early game. If you want a solo raid then you could always take Kourend and try your hand at CoX. Alternatively, you could take Varlamore and try your hand at the colosseum, granted you won't have a raid region for tbow, but you can still do good dps with a blowpipe and t6 range relic. Plus you get moons gear as a higher damage alternative to barrows

Similar to ZAF I was thinking ZTF where you spec into melee and ranged. Crystal armor makes swaps between melee and ranged really easy. You'll have full ancestral + staff for your worst style in case you need it but probably won't. Plus fremmy jewelry because busted and even less swaps. The dogsword with the spec relic is going to be a lot of fun though so I might regret missing out on that. Either way the big question is 6/4 or 5/5 🤔

I need some thoughts and opinions on my build... K/P/V Ranger with Bankers Note, my goals are to do my first Zuk and Colo (Maybe even echo colo) - Kourend since I like Solo gameplay and solo CoX is fun, echo Hespori might be fun with early game goals and faster farming ticks to get it sooner - Prif because I have Stockholm syndrome at CG with over 1300kc dry on my iron and 500kc dry last League, still have never gotten an enhanced. But, mostly because Zulrah drops go brrrr - Varlamore because Colo practice and 100% ranged accuracy with a fast TBow could be insane - Bankers Note because I'm shit at the game and most of my grinds are instanced - Bank Heist for teles Now... Downsides - Can't figure out my BIS tank gear for when I have 100% range accuracy, wish I had a 4th region to get barrows or Torva (again, I'm antisocial and hate team content) - Jewelry suffers, fury is free... 99 crafting is free with Golden God, even more free with CG for crafting/smithing - My BIS ring would be from Vard, so not too useful

you /can/ go tank gear with range, but with bankers note, you’ll have plenty of healing, so going range damage may be better anyway. You don’t have great gear for either, but it’ll still be fun if you have t6 and enjoy the content in your regions

I'm going to go WTF 6 melee 4 ranged. Soulreaper with Crystal Blessing is beyond cooked, and the ranged support is definitely good enough for Inferno. Grimoire gives Ancients for Wildy teleports and Ice Barrage for PKing.

I don't think so. It looks like they're arranged primarily to be acronyms: FMA = Full Metal Archer, AFK =, well, an afk build. For example, the FMA build you almost certainly don't want to do Fremenik first, as it doesn't unlock any mid game gear easily. Morytania would almost certainly be the first pick to get barrows gear to take into fremenik and asgarnia
