I worked as a design engineer for Grace company for four years and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. This was my final project before moving on to another opportunity. I was the lead designer for this project and I’m so thrilled to see that it has been so well received. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.

Thank you so much for this video! I just was setting up my cutie breeze for the first time and this is the best video I have seen. Appreciate the great camera angles and the leader cloth info. I feel much more confident that I can do this!!

Thank you for another helpful tutorial. I have the Cutie Breeze and must get it out of the box and begin practicing so that I can hopefully make gifts. Love the way you instruct, and appreciate the absence of background music. Would like to know more about the magnets you mention. Thank you, again.
@LeahDay5 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for your kindness! You can find the magnets I use to hang my leader cloth up here - amzn.to/3JCrb0h WARNING - this are SUPER powerful so make sure to only remove one from the stack at a time and try your best to not let them slam against one another - they will shatter and it's a real mess to clean up.

Do you sell the back clamps separately for us original Cuties?

Thank you for another fabulous video on a frame from the Grace Co. I currently have a qzone frame and I’m wondering if I can buy the rear clamps from this frame as they look much easier to use than the fiddly elastic bits I have. Thank you
@LeahDay6 ай бұрын
I've checked on this for you and unfortunately no - the Q-Zone Hoop Frame is not compatible with the new Coil Clamps.

God Bless You Leah! I pray that all is well with you and your family! Thank you for this very helpful video! ☺️ Do you set up the Cutie Breeze the same way that you set up the original Cutie? If not, will you please make an unboxing and construction/setup video for the Cutie Breeze? Thank you in advance
@LeahDay4 ай бұрын
The Cutie Breeze is much faster and easier to set up than the original Cutie Frame. You can find a short video I shared on this here - kzbin.infoAyTNNH5J798

I may need to get in touch with you about my quilting machine. I cannot get the qct6 to work right with it.

If you purchased QCT 6 from us, yes, please reach out for help at leahday.com/pages/contact-us! If you ordered from another dealer, please contact them for support. Your dealer will have your order records and be able to best help you by knowing what machine and frame you're using.

I have a question and i hope my timing is good! I am trying to confirm that the longer throat you have means you wont have to roll your quilt that often? My domestic's throat is not quite 8" so i am thinking i would only have a couple of inches of up and down motion so would basically be limited to a very small area to quilt in?
@LeahDayАй бұрын
Yes, your understanding is correct. Generally with a home sewing machine, you can subtract 4 inches and that will be your vertical quilting space. So from an 8 inch throat, you'll likely only have 4 inches x the length of the frame - probably 4 x 36 on this frame. It is a place to start... but very few quilters are satisfied with this small amount of space for very long.

Is this a frame that allows you to use your existing sewing machine? And if that’s the case, isn’t moving the arm/ sewing machine around to quilt heavy? Because my brother innovis weights a ton. Also I think it’s mentioned that you can set this frame on a smaller table, I’m confused, how does that look? Is part of the frame not on the small table? What are the actual dimensions of the frame? And do you have to use these long arm pins, coz they look like they can stab you if not careful, or can you replace them with quilting safety pins or even a temporary glue spray? Sorry for all these questions, it’s because this set up looks really interesting , I’ve never seen anything like this
@LeahDay2 ай бұрын
Great questions Rebecca! Yes, you can use your current sewing machine. No, the machine isn't heavy to move because it's on wheels. An Innovis is quite different from a home machine or even a Qnique 16X longarm and will feel different to push around. Getting used to the feel of moving the machine is part of the learning process. The minimum table size is 24 x 54 for the Cutie Breeze Frame. I've cut a project board from Lowes down to this dimension and then put my Cutie Breeze on top of a Dingo cabinet and a folding table. Both worked great! leahday.com/products/craft-storage-cabinet You can find the full dimensions of this frame here - leahday.com/products/cutie-quilting-frame Yes, sticking yourself with pins does hurt. Yes, you could use safety pins. Most quilters get used to the pins and learn to avoid them. If they all face the same direction, it's pretty easy to avoid them and after the first row across the quilt, the pins are rolled up in the quilt itself.

How much quilting area do you have with the little rebel and the frame?
@LeahDay2 ай бұрын
You'll have around 8-9 inches, depending on the size of the frame rails. I find I have more space within a Cutie Frame than an Evolution Hoop Frame because the rails are thicker. Does that make sense?

Do all the clamps come with the frame, or do you have to but them separately?
@LeahDay3 ай бұрын
Yes, front, side and back clamps come with the frame. The only clamps sold separately are the bungee clamps and I find them less necessary or helpful with this frame due to the location of the bungee attachment.

Where can I buy the blue clamps thing? What is their diameter? And how much do they cost?

What kind of pins are using to attach your leader to the backing?
@LeahDay2 ай бұрын
I've been using glass head pins, but recently switched to Magic brand longarm pins and they are great! We're aiming to add them to our website soon.

Do you know if this frame would work on a Baby Lock Regalia?
@LeahDay6 ай бұрын
Because you have a Babylock longarm, for best compatibility, I recommend getting a Babylock frame.
