last days in wales, leaving for university

hi friends,
this is a short recollection of my final days at home, spending time with my family, baking, and packing. although I am excited for a new chapter in my life, it is still intimidating to be leaving so much comfort and familiarity. I've been documenting my first few days in my flat, and hopefully will share another video next week! editing this footage was a bit sad, because I was reminded of all the wonderful things I will miss now that I am gone.

I recently moved abroad and live in the UK now and it's definitely scary and sad and intimidating all at once. Leaving your comforts, excited for the new but dreading the loneliness because you don't know a single person there. That's where I'm at right now more or less. Trying to slowly find people and create new comforts. Just take each day as it comes and be kind to yourself

I relate to feeling like life revolves around emotions and getting swept up in negative thoughts. what helps me is reminding myself that I don't have to control my emotions/thoughts and I don't need to judge myself for feeling this way when others have it worse. say hi to them and watch them do their thing, like you're in the audience watching a show - they will soon change into happier ones 💛 all the best with your new chapter Leah - enjoy discovering new cafés and walking routes and all the cosy autumn glimmers ✨

During 2023 i decided to change my degree and go in a totally different direction, seeing you struggle with your mental health about life in general (work, college), you made me feel less alone and convinced me that if i you can do it, i can do it as well. Throughout your entire youtube journey i found a lot of similarities between you and me and i just wanted you to know how much your work means to a lot of people. The way you feel is completely valid and dont let ANYONE make you think that you are being ungrateful in life just because you feel some sort of way. It happens to all of us and just because you are maybe not struggling as much in other fields (money, family), that doesnt negate the struggles you do have. I love you and i cant wait for you to embark on this journey and come out on top.

i will be moving in with two girls in a few days as well. Even though i've been away from home since 13, i still get nervous. It's okey to overthink a little bit about it but it gets better everytime so i'm hopeful. All those times that begins with stress gave me wonderful friendships and experiences. Life starts when you leave your comfort zone!

Hi Leah! I'm so excited for your new adventure. I understand how scary this whole experience might feel for you. I just wanted to say that while it's important to remember things aren't as bad as they might seem and you could just be overthinking, your feelings are totally valid! I really hope you'll be able to cry and let it all out, embrace yourself in those tough moments, and come out stronger from them. I want to share an anecdote from my first day at uni that I feel really sums up the emotional rollercoaster. On the first day, when I got to my college room, and I met lots of new people. Being really shy and socially anxious, it was completely overwhelming. By the time I got to bed that night, I bawled my eyes out because I was so scared for my future. But everything went fine the next day, and I felt safe and happy. Sometimes, it’s just those first few steps that feel so scary, but then everything falls into place. I finished uni two years ago, and although I'm not where I want to be yet, which sometimes makes me feel a bit behind compared to others my age, I'm learning to enjoy the journey. So, if it helps at all, make sure you enjoy your time in uni! Study hard, meet new people, explore new places, and have fun. Sorry for the looooong message, but I've been a viewer for a while and wanted to send some reassurance your way. Can't wait to see your upcoming videos! ❤
