My church offers pre-marital counseling. It wasn’t only about preparing you for marriage. It was to help you decide if you should even get married; if you’re evenly yoked. It saved me from getting engaged to the wrong man a couple of years ago. 10/10 highly recommend.

That's awesome! My church does the same thing. We also have spiritual mentors that we can get advice from in this area. Dating is really the time to see if this is someone that you can see as your husband.Marriage counselling allows for us to talk through those deeper things to really get to the heart of compatibility and just really exposes our heart.

Wow! You just taught me something. I thought a prerequisite to pre-marital counseling was that the couple IS engaged. Now I see that it’s not. Glad that worked out for you. What a blessing

I’m think it’s a good idea too. I told my daughter that I wanted her to do that if she got engaged. Her and her boyfriend didn’t think they had any use for it, but ended up going and she is glad they did. There are all kinds of weird or just different expectations people can have.

I never knew that long distance relationships had that advantage of focusing on yourself and God . Many people told me it's risky, you can start seeing other people and falling for them, very easy to get heart broken. Like basically, they were only talking about the cons and not the pros. I didn't know there was a pro/pros to it

I'm glad that Cory said that a man has a sinful nature and a Godly nature. The nature that you appeal to will be the nature you get. So, that is why it is so important to dress modest and discipline yourself as a Christian (woman) and to stay in your lane when it comes to temptation. It is so real and it will mess up a potential relationship because then the man will get what he wants from you and flee and you (as the woman) will end up hurt. Unfortunately said but so true. We still deal with flesh and blood at the end of the day and we have to guard our hearts until marriage. I'm glad a man such as Cory touched on this topic so well. Thank you for this.

20:38 "If you aren't living a live that needs the Holy Spirit to empower you, you're not living a Godly life. You're living a Christian-themed life at best." POWERFUL! 😅 Whew. What a blessing you guys are. "God needs to be invited into the relationship." Wow. Needed this ❤

Singleness is a gift that not many possess and I'm one of those who do not possess this gift 😂Yessss let men pursue us as women and lead. "The bait you use will impact the fish you catch." Preach Brother Cory for the ones in the back 🔊🗣️🙋🏽‍♀️Boundaries are so important for a long-term relationship to flourish. Amen, Leah to inviting God into your relationship. You need to intentionally do so to benefit from His goodness. So true about speaking about being a Christian during the first conversation because it's supposed to be a part of your identity. Thank you for this sage advice, Leah and Cory!

I love you both. Please keep sharing and spreading Gods love. Most of us singles wanting Godly marriages need this. I turn 29 October 1st and I am still a virgin because my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and I am waiting for marriage( Gods yes for for my life). I used to believe that once a guy is a Christian I don’t have to spell it out to you the reason we have to wait until marriage to have sex but I was shocked. As Corey said, it’s sad. But I came to realize that setting boundaries at the beginning helps a lot. The beauty about God is that His plans are always the best. And His timing is perfect. So patience is key.

@11:40 You can catch the right man in the wrong version @20:20 it's not because you're both Christians that you are in a godly relationship it gotta be intentional and Spirit lead Those were deep 💯 I'm 31 and been celibate since 2016 I tell that right away so as I don't waste any body's time and I defo wanna do premarital counseling Very good questions and video 👍🏾

GOD was the one to say "Hey, you're a little lonely, you need someone." My goal is to focus on doing the jobs God gives me and be so focused that God has to be the one who tells me "Hey! It's time! I had two long distance relationships and it had its ups and downs. One pro was that we had the opportunity to just focus on each others' heart. We weren't distracted by the looks, or if his breath smelled that day or all the superficial things we can focus on.The con was that we didn't get to see each other in our natural elements as much so when we did see each other it was always full of revelations and not all were encouraging. :>

I love the cozy background. As a woman who was born and raised in The Catholic Church, there are people who are and have been called to the "religious life" or a religious vocation which meant they stayed single, whether they felt called to become a priest, brother or religious sister (nun). I found a life of serving others as a nun to be attractive, but I didn't go that route because I knew that I couldn't be a nun and be married and I've always wanted to be a wife and have a husband.

How to express interest as guy- just say something to her. For me, seeing my gf for the first time was on a Thursday out walking i got nervous but i went over talked to her and we flowed. After 30 mins talking with her i told her i would like for her to be my gf etc said i would take care of her do her right and afterwards i got her some food(i took the chance) she said yes. 2 strangers who had less than hour conversation are still together 1 year and 3 months later and her interest in me is the same as the first week we were together, i still love her. How much more for you the reader? I'm not saying it'll happen the same way but take a chance. 💍 👸 🤴

To elaborate on woman pursuing man. If she's your gf this is normal thing especially she's interested in you and want to spend more time. My job requires a lot of detail and time so it shifts the dynamic. I pursued my gf and when she found out how much time my job takes up she understands. She comes to my job sometimes and will go out for my lunch break
