I really appreciate you acknowledging the heartbreak in the world. The whole notion of being grateful and trusting that the universe is on our side is hard because I struggle to believe that that sentiment is true across the world when we are witnessing in real time all the pain and devastating loss. It's painful and it's hard to not doom scroll and not feel hopeless. It's hard to accept that there's only so much we as individuals can control. I'm 26 years old too and my friends are all getting married, some even have 2 kids now. My Asian Asian parents only talk about getting married every time I meet them, as if marriage is everything- up to a point I just avoid them LOL. I feel so seen right now. I was super social for a couple months and it was a ton of fun, but now I'm experiencing introvert burnout. I don't want to talk to anybody and am enjoying my alone time recharging for the past couple of weeks. Especially since I have a public-facing day job, I have no energy left at the end of the day for anyone else besides my immediate family that I live with. I do worry that some newer friends who don't know me that well might take my withdrawal personally but even communicating how I feel would take too much energy. I definitely relate to being an "extroverted introvert" as you said! I get along best with people who understand that and can enjoy our time together when I do have the energy to hang out instead of resenting me for needing alone time. ps. you have such a pretty singing voice! and all the best on your painting journey :)

Hey I've got ADHD and what you're describing, the constant conundrum between wanting to do things but running out of battery sounds very similar to my experience. I often experience ADHD burnout (or autistic burnout is quite similar in a way) where I am forced to rest but then feel understimulated mentally and get momentary depression (which is different from the kind of depression people without ADHD experience)... Ah life. Let me know if you want me to share more. Good luck with everything and thank you for finding the time to make the videos!

Hey ! Glad to see more of your art school time (and glad to see you're using a similar type of rechargeable ink brush I gave you. They're really handy). Now, you just started at this school, but you're already considering switching to another institution ? Is it because of wanting to stay in Toronto for the next semester, or is it because this school doesn't fit right for what you want to learn ? And yep ! Completely understand the "very extroverted introvert" concept ! That was me in my 20's and 30's. I was a perfect social butterfly, but always needed a full day or 2 of recovery after each outing. Nowadays, in my 40's and living up in the mountains, I've kinda gone back to hermit mode, going into the city really only when needed. But I do miss my more social years. Also, no need to feel guilty about thinking too much and going to sleep/waking up super late, that's just how some of us function normally (I'm on the other extreme, lately, going to sleep at 6am-7am and waking up at 3 to 4pm... Not super healthy, for sure, but that's the life of winter in the mountains, for you. I'm just in hibernating mode). It sure is a bummer if you've got social and professional obligations, but since you don't have too much of it yet, it's perfectly okay. And hey ! I almost forgot how lovely is your voice when singing. Painting, vlogging, editing, music playing & singing... You're truly a girl of many talents. Looking forward to see more of your talent blossom in all directions ! And very curious to see what you'll come up with for Friendly bureau for the coming year of the dragon.
