I am resonating with this video so much because I am also going back to school! I am 61 and retired, but I've always wanted to get more education in horticulture and gardening. I applied for a Master Gardener program here in my town, and I'm so excited to have been accepted. :)) It feels so good to take on a new challenge and exercise my brain, and also hopefully contribute locally to my community. I feel lucky to have this opportunity...gardening, learning the science behind it, and being around other gardeners: a dream come true. So glad you are following your dreams and studying painting. I always remind myself that I don't have to push myself if its too much, and it has been going good by far. I do miss waking up without an alarm sound tho :,)

I'm glad you're going back for something you love! I am 31 and currently going back to school to become a Neuropsychologist (so I'm going for my PHD). It's always been my dream to help others and study psychology and how the brain works because I suffered so much from mental health when I was younger (traumatic childhood) having Autism and OCD and struggling with it inspired and motivated me to give back to the world and help others who suffer. You're never too old to chase after your dreams, we optimistically have about 95-100 years on this planet, why not use those years to build a life you love and will enjoy? You can go back to school in your 60s, why not? What's stopping you? We have one chance, one opportunity at life on this planet, why not use it wisely? Wish you the best of luck and always enjoy your videos.

seriously so inspring to see ppl in their mid-20's biting those bullets and pursuing passions. :'-) also started taking classes at my local college this semester bc I miss learning and my early pipe dream was to be photographer. i feel like we get told that our early 20s are when things r supposed to rlly happen for us, but bc of covid a lot of us in our mid-20s had to pivot so much (from our dreams, relationships, etc.) and idk I personally also just felt so lost for the past 3 years. finally being intentional w something I love has rlly changed there last half of this yr for the better. rlly encouraging to see u get into painting again. good luck leah!!! excited to see ur art!!! besos

i started studying art (bfa) at 25. i always knew i'd do something creative and i often whine about the industry but it was a great experience. art school is a good place and time for exploring your art practice, deciding what you like, deciding which career direction you might take, you also make lifelong friends there. there is a lot of reading and writing, but definitely worth it if you're considering it. you can definitely learn art and be an artist without art school, but it's the privilege of space and time and connections to make and create together.

I would just say beware of how expensive and exploitive a lot of art schools can be, and that a good chunk of graduates struggle to find work in the very field they studied for in school… but you probably have the finances and hell, already made a name for yourself so you should be fine :) Best of luck!! ❤💛
