Also if you've ever seen what happens when someone punches a wall once, let alone repeatedly, as she claims he did you know he is either made of steel or didn't do it. And if you've ever known someone fair skinned (I am) you know that it doesn't take much to bruise so her claims of him repeatedly bashing her head into the wall, pulling her hair out, punching her, walking through glass and such couldn't possibly be true without someone at the very least noticing she's injured followed by some serious medical intervention including probable stitches and maybe surgery and at the very least pain management would be involved.

A lot of survivors feel this way. I’m a 40 year old woman and never had “abusive relationships” until I met the devil one day … he obviously had antisocial personality disorder (psychopathy) and was pure evil.. I don’t know how I survived. Listening to Amber makes me feel physically sick. I am still traumatised after all these years and I know what real trauma and PTSD look like - it doesn’t look anything like this. When Amber testified about Australia, she went on a monologue for over 30 minutes! No questions from her lawyers! I was listening to her sob and cry, and break down, yet her lawyers never stepped in and tried to ask another question and guide her through her testimony. I couldn't understand it. It is unethical for a lawyer to present false testimony. Many criminal defense attorneys get into that predicament, and there two ways you handle it. First, of course, is you can withdraw. But that's impossible during a trial. So the second option is you have the client testify as a narrative where you don't ask them questions. You just let them tell their lies, but you don't participate. That's what I thought was happening during Amber's testimony.

The more I learn about the justice system the more frustrated and disheartened I become. It's not about justice at all, lawyers are expected to be openly dishonest, manipulative, intimidating, etc. just to get their client off, knowing full well they're guilty. Its business, like everything else in the world, not justice. Critical evidence isn't allowed into trials because of bs technicalities and scheming from one side or another. She can't help it. She has severe impulsivity control issues. She does things before she thinks about the consequences. That's a big part of BPD. It's a genetic mutation in people with BPD and ASPD that makes the gene expression around impulse control behaviors more plastic. Parenting style at critical stages of development can affect it one way or the other, but the underlying impulsivity will always be there. [Source: I'm a Neuroscientist and have read some research papers.] In her case, she's malignant and her impulsivity is off the charts. The meltdown she has afterwards is her realizing what she's done has gone too far and she can't go back in time to fix it to prevent people from thinking badly of her or avoid facing the consequences of her actions. My little sister has BPD and I remember when she was little, we'd hear a big CRASH from the other side of the house immediately followed by "Please don't spank me!!" She wasn't able to learn how to think first before she acted. It was beyond her comprehension. She just kept doing that over and over again. This is Amber's version of crash and 'please don't spank me!'

It’s not that easy for a lawyer to withdraw mid litigation. The lawyer generally needs the Judges permission to drop a client once the case is filed in court. They probably believed her at first until all of these testimonies. If they didn’t believe her, then they are just doing it for the money.

The inconsistency I caught in that incident is the fact that she says she sliced p the bottom of her feet, not only are there not bloody footsteps only drips and smears from JD’s finger but she doesn’t mention the wounds or how uncomfortable it’d be to walk the next day on her way to the airport. I’m sure she would add that in to convey how bad her injuries were. I stepped on glass once, it was painful to walk for several days.

The "Malignant Narcissists" actually can feel 3 types of empathy : Emotional, Cognitive, and Motor. When a Narcissist is capable of all 3 it makes them a very dangerous person to be in a relationship with. The Narcissist can learn empathy as an adults with a psychologist but it takes time & want on their part, which as we know doesn't often happen. Same do feel Empathy on their own but usually they are using mimicry and emulating empathy as they see others do. The pictures of her “injuries” that I saw from court seem to be all taken at home in poor lighting. No swelling, no hematomas, no ring imprints, no blood vessels broken in the eyes, no cuts. If she took the beating she described I think they would have hauled her out on a gurney to a hospital. She had support and resources to get out if she was being abused-many women have nothing. This seems very disrespectful to men and women who have had the crap beaten out of them. I think JD has his own issues, but I hope he gets justice in this case.

Borderlines have mood swings over the course of mere minutes. There are also the symptoms of impulsivity and fear of abandonment that play a huge role in those mood swings as well, whereas with Bipolar it's a slower shift in neurochemistry without the other common traits of BPD. Bipolar is on the psychosis spectrum with Schizophrenia. Borderline Personality Disorder is a Cluster B personality disorder that overlaps with other personality disorders like Narcissistic, Histrionic, and Antisocial Personality Disorders, and has its own spectrum. Seroquel is an antipsychotic that acts on dopamine receptors, and since it is believed that dopamine dysfunction is involved in BPD, that is likely the reason why it works on BPD as well. To the best of my knowledge, there is no drug that can adequately treat BPD, but seroquel was likely given to calm her down so they could get her under control.

This is why she is spouting such crap on the stand because she knows the clips that prove to everyone she is full of it are inadmissible. The only way around it is if she messes up and says something about them that can be taken as testimony and then they can ask the judge if she will allow it to be submitted. Sadly I doubt AH team is stupid enough to let her say anything like that even though they know she is full of shit.

But when Joe Rogan talked about the turd part on his podcast, I started watching everything I'd missed, and listening to the trial thru KZbin. And now, in two days, Amber has been able to make me absolutely find her an awful person, a liar, and she makes me hate her everytime she opens her mouth, I have to keep turning it off. I understand living with an alcoholic spouse who can get verbally mean/abusive(not physical, thank God) when falling off the wagon, and some of her story I believe, but most of it I don't. bc of those I know of who have experienced SA and DV from their spouse, and from what I've experienced, she talks and accuses like the one who is being mean and violent and manipulative and gaslighting

I am as well and I agree with you. JD is 100% her DV/DA target. He can't be blamed for any of his behavoir in response to her treatment of him. But I do think AH lived through something horrible with her dad in her childhood (strange that they are close now though) and as an adult, and by the time she got to Tosha and then Johnny, something got grossly twisted in her mind where she is confusing, mirroring, and projecting past traumas into her current relationships. It's like a horrible psychosis. Maybe that is where the confusion lies in the two doctors analysis. The second one made her determinations based on childhood trauma. I belive Dr. Curry's assessment of her in that she has BPD and HPD is more accurate but I'm no pro. Tie in narcissism , a bit of sociopathic tendancies (has no remorse for the hurt she causes) and compulsive lying disorder and that's Amber. Shes a very sick person. I dont believe that is any excuse to treat a person so badly, as long as you know the difference between right and wrong, as she did with JD, but it is possible that her sense of reality and social cues/perceptions are completely warped. If the doctors didnt find any of those other signs, then she is entirely culpable.

Here's what I learned in the 10 years I was being abused: 1. Abusers seldom hit their victims in the face because it will be very obvious and don't want to attract attention. They will harm their victims where it can't be easily seen. 2. Any time a victim will try to get away from a flaring situation, the abuser will follow and pursue their victims. Victims will try to defuse, but abusers will press on and continue to instigate. 3. Abusers will harm themselves and tell their friends and family _they_ are the victims. They will lie, lie, lie unceasingly. Everything that happened to me, Amber presented perfectly. I empathize with JD deeply. I lied so much on behalf of my abuser because I was ashamed I allowed him to abuse me. I always made excuses for him and ended up hurting my image in the process. All of her testimony is online, yet not a single person has been able to present video of her saying what was said in the Ripley movie. They post screenshots of quotes, but I've watched her testimony in full multiple times looking for her actual saying what they claim she said. She did not.
