My mom has worked for the FBI on dozens of crime scenes, she said this: PLEASE start wearing gloves. DOUBLE pairs of latex, vinyl, nitrile gloves. Cotton gloves under one pair of latex are fine too. Only one pair often still leaves your own finger prints behind. You should be wearing them regardless, but doubling up will prevent you from contaminating a crime scene or destroying valuable evidence. Not only do you risk becoming a suspect, you could jeopardize a case. What you’re doing is really amazing and valuable work, but you NEED NEED NEED to be wearing gloves. Put any evidence you find in a paper bag so it won’t become moldy. You’re doing valuable work, I love your channel!

Dan, I really enjoyed your documentary, it scared the hell out of me! I think the Killers knew Vashon. The murder was an angry, violent Overkill. They killed him three times. Blunt force trauma, burning, and throwing him down the sewer. Burning him, and hiding his body, suggests to me, that they were trying to hide his identity. I don't think they were friends, but they knew each other, and probably had some dealings with each other. So, knowing who he was would lead to knowing who they are...
@kimw80566 жыл бұрын
Kdrama 59 Not overkill, overkill would be stabbing someone 80 times after they're already dead. Not angry either because you'd definitely have overkill with those. Blunt force trauma was a means to take the fight out of him, burning him was probably used to destroy evidence, maybe to inflict more pain if he was still alive, and perhaps to even hide his identity. Throwing his body down into the sewer could have two reasons behind it. Whatever stagnant water was down there will surely contaminate/ destroy evidence, and the second reason was to probably hide the body.

I live just outside the East side of Baltimore, but I have heard of that park. You have some gigantic titanium balls to have gone there not only at night, but several times. Do you come to Baltimore often? Your "Dead Mall" videos are what brought me to your channel, but this video is exceptional. The thing about Baltimore is that there are so many murders, that any single one can get lost in the shuffle. It's really sad to know how little some people value life. Not just their own, but that of others, as well. I really felt bad for the dog you found. I have a pit, and she is very, very loving. I'm wondering if the reason so many dogs/cats get dumped there is because of their use in dogfights. Cats and smaller dogs are often used as "bait" for the fighting dogs to practice on. They probably dispose of the animals like this to avoid being caught and to prevent them being from being found and used as evidence. Its a sad but harsh reality of places like that. The type of collar it was wearing is loosely referred to as a "choke chain", and is normally used commercially to train dogs not to pull on their leashes during basic obedience training, and is not supposed to hurt them as much as it to cause discomfort. the collars themselves are not inhumane. But I've read that dogfighters will use them on the bait animals, ( in this case, often entwined with things like barbed/razor wire) to keep them from leaving the "ring" or pulling away from the attacking dog. The reason I suspect it to be a bait and not a fighting dog is because of the teeth. I work with dogs, and one of the most telling signs of a dog's age is its teeth. This one's seem to be very white without much plaque or wear, meaning its probably a younger dog, a year and a half or so maybe. They also look fairly healthy and free of chips or missing teeth. Fighter dogs lose and damage a good amount of teeth over the course of their "careers" for a variety of reasons, so this would be unlikely for one that was used to compete. It was probably a bait animal, most likely a puppy, and most likely stolen, which is why it had to be disposed of so quickly and without care. My best guess is that that's what you found. I know its been a few years since this was posted, but I'm absolutely chilled and intrigued by this series you've made.

On December 14 of 2015 the victim was charged with home invasion, burglary, assault, kidnapping of a person under 16 years of age in Baltimore. Obviously he was not in prison at the time of the murder. I wonder if his killing had something to do with what he did in 2015? If he was killed by blunt trauma as the forensic doctor said, how come was there not blood stains in the crime scene area? You did not see any, right? The killers, I think there were at least 2 killers, I think 3 killers, set his body on fire to hide his identity, or to inflict pain before dumping him in the sewer? Whoever did this horrific killing was enraged, wanted revenge. This death is horrible, gruesome and the killers must be found, and prosecuted, and thrown in jail for the rest of their lives.

This video was captivating & frightening & sad. Now this is the caliber work I want to watch. Please continue at this level of quality. Good job examining the scene & discussing facts.

I have suggestion. You should get rubber gloves. Or not touch stuff like nasty ass t-shirts. You don't know what kind of nasty stuff someone could have done to some of that stuff you touch lol

Even disregarding what people could have done, animals (especially foxes & coyotes) love to pee on anything that has a human scent. Leave a piece of clothing outside overnight where there are foxes it’s pretty likely they will pee on it.

Cum rags are the first thing I think of when I see tee shirts, socks, etc discarded in the woods. Ew.

Anyone else notice that Dan made the text not line up with each other? One word was always a little higher or lower than the other? He did this so we felt even more uneasy, more uncomfortable

It's sad, but it seems as if the police doesn't even care, or they have so many murders that its just another case to add to the pile. ☹

Stephanie Lugo In a city like Baltimore those guys are worked so hard and the budget while large enough usually doesn't get the job done. Being a forensic or detective/crime scene specialist is one job I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

ClockWise Gaming True, I'm sure they can't keep up with it all 😔

They don't care. They don't even pick up their trash, or all the evidence.

His record shows he broke into someone's house, kidnapped them, assaulted them, and was a pretty sick person. This was in 2016. So they probably just didn't care. After I saw his record, I have to admit, I cared a little bit less, too. He broke into a families home and tied them up and tormented them, from what it looks like in 2016. So clearly recent, and clearly he chose a bad life. He still didn't deserve that of COURSE, and I want to see the people charged. But I can definitely understand the police working on more innocent peoples' murders 1st, and harder, now that I saw his record. (Google it, of look below, in other comments). The police still need to do their job, though regardless. He's still a human being.

There's just so, so many murders there that it gets to the point where they only go for the bodies they receive a call for. The crime rate looks like the Robocop movie.

I have been waiting for this. You're a great film maker Dan!

I was made aware of this documentary by your live feed regarding the release of a part 2. You're a great filmmaker. I love your dead mall series, the ongoing seasons of another dirty room, and your trip on Route 66 amongst other videos of the present and historical video's. I've been trying to catch up since I found your channel almost 2 years ago. This video documentary is full proof beyond any doubt, for me, I need to and will become a Patron.

Dan has been getting a little slack. Making lots of cash and forgetting his viewers. Remember The Dirty Room episodes. It has been a while, hasn't it??
@KarleeKizer6 жыл бұрын
Um no, he has been working hard on making documentaries like this one. A film like this doesn't take a day to film, edit, and upload. Keep that in mind.

This is awful. I also think it shows and says allot about our society that the crime siene is left in this condition, the trash, the open sewer, such disreguard for future safety of others lives & nature. We as a society have fallen into ill repute
